Siddharth's upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual 180 (Nootrendbadhu in Tamil), directed by Siddharth's mentor P. Jayendra, is all set to grace theatres this Friday. Produced by Kiran under the banner of SPI Cinemas and Aghal Films, 180 was shot with Red One camera and one of the songs was shot with Phantom HD camera. Here we bring you an exclusive interview with actress Nithya Menen, who plays one of the lead roles in the film.
"To be honest, the first thing that appealed to me about 180 was Siddharth, and that was even before I has actually heard the script. I'm not the kind of girl who goes ga-ga over stars, but what truly impressed me about Siddharth was his body of work. However after I met Jayendra, heard the story and met the rest of the team. I just knew that I wanted to be a part of this movie. They are all such lovely people," says Nithya Menen, who plays a journalist in the movie.
"I play a journalist in the movie. So like every typical journalist, I am curious about everything. I find something very mysterious about Siddharth's character and want to get to the bottom of that mystery. And since the movie was shot in the US and India, with Priya Anand being the girl abroad and me the one in India, there had to be a contrast between the two characters. So while she has the more glamorous part, there is a rather rustic and ethnic feel to mine," she added.
Nithya on Sid... We share a very amicable professional relationship. As a co-star, he was very helpful. I always considered him a talented actor and working with him has not changed that opinion in any way.
Nithya on Priya... She is such a wonderful person. With someone like Priya, it's next to impossible to not like her! I am a very reserved person and she is the exact opposite. Always chatting away and laughing. She was extremely patient with me and I am so glad I got to meet her.
