'Oosaravelli' takes edge over 'Dookudu'

 
Although collection reports shown for first week gross of 'oosaravelli' are over and above 'Dookudu,' market talk and public talk for Mahesh Babu film is already informed to be stronger than NTR.
Other than first week reports, here is one more platform where 'oosaravelli' has beaten 'Dookudu' and that happens to be remaking in Bollywood. Yes, while Surender Reddy is readily packing his bangs to board the Mumbai flight for remake of both 'oosaravelli' and his earlier hit 'Kick' with Ranbir Kapoor and Salman Khan respectively, director Srinu Vytla could not make his 'DOokudu' producers either shell out the remake rights at whopping price or did he zeroed upon a hero to direct the Bollywood version.
Going on a comparison and craze for both these successful Telugu projects, a freshly scripted 'oosaravelli' seems to have taken an egde over formula followed 'Dookudu.'

Oosaravelli and NTR utterly Failed

Making the film in time and releasing it on a grand scale is not a great thing. One has to know how to protect their product from the thieves. We are talking about the video piracy which has been a major headache for entire film industry. Online piracy is turning out to be the worst of all.

Despite heavy efforts to pirate Dookudu movie, the producers of that film took ample care to see that the piracy print doesn't surface on the internet. They have taken immense care and gave strong warnings to all the video sharing websites and torrent forums. They have successfully halted the Dookudu online piracy until two weeks and the results can be seen.

Oosaravelli tried to ape Dookudu in every way and even publishing the records following the suit. But they haven't succeeded in stopping their film from being pirated online. Within the first week of its release, a high quality print is available on the net, which shows that the hero and the producer of this movie have failed in getting the basics right.

An astonishing talk is circulated in media circles about mahesh babus Dookudu and Junior NTRs Oosaravelli trying to stab each others market. Ever since the release date of Oosaravelli is confirmed as October 6, there was an initial positive talk in film circles on the movie which very soon on the release day turned into a divided verdict and as the weekend has come to an end, there is a clear cut judgment that Oosaravelli is trailing behind.
While close circles to Oosaravelli makers and Nandamuri Fans feel that a section of public are deliberately circulating a negative talk on their film, Prince Fans supporting Dookudu success are also complaining the same regarding a sharp drop in their collections. Mahesh Babu proved to be the biggest faker among Tollywood heroes by releasing fake records for each and every film after Pokiri. Even for those films he talked about records.

Dookudu movie is a genuine blockbuster and is really breaking records. But even for this film the producers are releasing fake numbers by multiplying the originally earned collections. Now NTR is giving a bite of his own cake to Mahesh with Oosaravelli. NTR's latest film opened to record collections in many areas and is likely to achieve good first day numbers despite mixed talk.

But the makers of Oosaravelli are not ready to announce the original collections. They are following Dookudu producers by stating that Oosaravelli has collected a gross collection of 16 crores on its first day. They are not going to stop here, say inside sources. They are planning to give a shock to Dookudu makers by announcing that Oosaravelli collected 60 crores gross in the first week!

Jr.NTR’s Oosaravelli that has released worldwide today and has completed its first shows in major areas and here is the first report talk of the film.

Jr.NTR steals the show and Tamannah is surely an asset for the film. She did a good job with her performance. NTR’s dances, comedy and his dialogue delivery are plus for the film. The first half of the film is impressive with more entertaining elements like comedy, twists, colorful songs and good interval bang.

On the flip side, it’s only in the second half the main plot begins. However, the second half is a bit dragging and moves on a slow-pace despite few interesting twists. Tamannah is getting good appreciation in the flash back. Overall, Oosaravelli has the potential to score success since it has been released in the festive season.

Story:Tony(NTR) is a peculiar minded guy who does settlements for money.He falls in love with Niharika(Thamanna) in some strange circumstances in Kashmir.He comes to Hyderabad on mission to destroy the group of AjjuBhai(PrakashRaj). Rest of the story reveals why he killed goons and how is Thamanna related to main plot.
Performances:
NTR:Obsolutely brilliant performance from young tiger.Though his character is an extension to raviteja's kick ,ntr presented the role in a mature way, in every scene he justifies the title Oosaraveli. Even in melody dominating album he excelled at dance ,especially in love ante caring and dhandiya beats.The way he carried emotions and dialogue delivery in interval bang is topnotch.Though the movie suffers with improper second half, he maintained the required energy levels.NTR made a special mention about this experimentation before the release of the movie, It is truely justified with his performance.He reminded the Adhurs Chary again, in the innocent scenes.Once again he proved that he has the calibre to produce any kind of entertainment and act as best hero material for any director.Only Negative about NTR is his regaining weight.He looks flabby in closeup shots.He has to work on that.
Thamanna: She is sweet and cute.As Director promised Thamanna got a lion's share in the movie,entire story is build around her role.She balances glamour and performance effectively.She scores good marks with her performance in second half.It's her best performance till date.She is value for money product for any Producer.The scene where she prays for god to show a path for her , followed by pleading NTR to help her , is worth noting here.For the first time she acted in such performance oriented role and she did a good job.
PrakashRaj: He plays a typical villain again, with mafia backdrop.Telugu audience are tired of seeing villain mafia dons.His character adds more routine and dragged feel to the second half.Actor with tremendous calibre,Prakash raj should try something different , he has nothing new to offer these days.One might wonder how his character in the movie is different from what he played in Pokiri.
Others:Raghubabu again proved his mettle as comedian,his comedy struck chord with audience. Jayaprakash Reddy as sarkar is excellent.NTR's friend Raghu is very good.MS Narayana brought huge laughters in a scene where Raghubabu batch tricks him and threatens him to make his Tanents(Heroine and her freind) vacate the home.Payal Gosh as heroine's freind is adequate.Thanikela Bharani, 'Kick' Shyam have less sceeen presence.
Screenplay-Direction: Surendar Reddy did a good job in the first half of the movie.He succeeded in offering fresh comedy.As he said in most of the interviews, he is very good at handling Comedy.Just as Vinayak, Even though he doesnt have any strong story backup he ran the show with comedy sequences.NTR's character in this movie is pure extension of Kick and his other previous movies.While comedy and hero character reminds us of Kick movie ,Action sequences are uptaken from Athanokkade, Ashok and Athidhi.He should have done better homework for second half.His story narration and screenplay became too routine and at times they look ameturish.On a whole , Surendar reddy is more than a bankable director for comedy entertainers.Tollywood ,watchout we have another VV vinayak in making.
Other Departments: DevisriPrasad's melodies are perfectly complemented by Rasool Ellore's excellent cinematography.However dancebeats are dissappointing.Background score is adequate.Especially, the background for Jayaprakash and Raghubabu brought few laughters.Oosaravelli background song is just ok.Coming to other departments, Choregraphy is good in the melody songs.Stunts and action sequences are good.Editing is crisp.

There are hardly any punch dialogues in the movie worth noting.All dialogues have a ordinary language with extra ordinary emotions from NTR.However we present few dialogues which are worth hearing to.

Predictable climax.
Final Verdict: First half is hilarious and entertaining. Onscreen chemistry between lead pair worked well.NTR's performance is versatile .He is extremely energetic  throughout the movie.Heroine's role is refreshing, after so many regular namesake heroine characters.After the excellent first half and terrific interval bang, nothing worked well in the movie.Second half is dragging and messy with too much of content to digest.Surendar Reddy unviels nonstop story, leaving audience uncomfortable and unsettling.Action fights became too routine .Entire story is narrated in just 20-30 mins in second half.Rest of the movie is just a routine show.Had he handled the second half in a better way, Oosaravelli would have been a Excellent movie.Surendar reddy extracted content from all his previous flicks like saving heroine lifted from Athidi, Hero characterization from Kick,Story Narration from Athanokkade.
First half will work in all the centres.Second half does not appeal to hardcore NTR fans, as the plot is very confusing and convoluted. On a whole Its a decent entertainer with good comedy.

Mahesh Babu is the real Oosaravelli

Prince Mahesh Babu always behaves as if he is not into starry issues such as records, collections reports etc. But whenever given a chance Mahesh Babu comes up with the fake numbers and records and expresses his joy over them.

Heroes don't talk about records prior to any movie release. But Mahesh Babu always says that it will be a record breaking film for any movie that is ready for release. He stated the same for Khaleja but it misfired. He repeated the same for Dookudu and it is really doing well. However Prince is so addicted to fake numbers that even for a hit film he is hyping the collections by a mile. Although his fans are happy with these fake records, onlookers say that Oosaravelli title suits Mahesh to the T.

His producers too go hand in hand with the hero either to impress him or show their power to the industry. Dookudu is doing extremely good at the moment but not as great as the 'official' numbers that are being released to the press. What is even more shameless is they are printing those fake records on the sweet boxes they are distributing. This is a classic example for 'Athma Vanchana'!

Dookudu of Mahesh Babu has made historical total share of collections in Nizam area (all records  are fake). Though agitations in this area are crippling the lives and affecting citizens, entertainment wise business hasnt got a considerable blow as evidential with roars of Dookudu at Box Office. After the festival of Dasara, there is every chance of separate state movement entering into an aggressive and inhuman phase where leaders are compelled to take the movement towards militant phase of attacks.
If such is the case with Central Governments UPA choosing to buy more time over the issue with many more consultations needed, a late decision by Sonia Gandhi will first affect the oosaravelli business from our cinema point of view. Lucky that Mahesh Babu is saved from T-fires while oosaravelli may not. Let us see, what will happen to Taraks dream of crossing Dookudu.

Stupendous comedy in Oosaravelli

If you think Young Tiger NTR’s upcoming extravaganza Oosaravelli is all about high voltage action, think again. Apart from the explosive action sequences and terrific dances, Oosaravelli packs in quite a punch in terms of comedy.The movie is being directed by stylish director Surender Reddy and he has a proven track record for good comedy.
The second half of the movie especially has lots of comedy built into the story and the scenes involving Raghu Babu and Jayaprakash Reddy have come out very well. Our sources say the NTR has chipped in with his share of humour too. This should really make things quite interesting as good comedy usually draws family crowds towards movies.
NTR is pairing up with Tamanna for this movie and the music has been scored by Devi Sri Prasad. The censor formalities of Oosaravelli are complete and Young Tiger NTR’s action extravaganza has received a U/A certificate. It is being reported that a few minor cuts have been ordered and the team has agreed. This clears the way for a massive and grand release on October 6th.

All Eye's on NTR's Oosaravelli

With Dookudu becoming a blockbuster, now all eyes on NTR’s Oosaravelli which is due to release for Dussehra. There is lot of positive buzz surrounding the movie and if the movie lives up to the expectations, it will surely boost up the Telugu film industry which is reeling under the pressure of flops during the last few months.

NTR Junior is known for his fighting spirit and that attitude made him the winner many a time. He is ready to take on Mahesh's challenge even this time around. Last year Brindavanam released exactly two weeks after Robo was out in theatres. Brindavanam went on to become good hit even when Robo was blazing all guns out. Now Dookudu was released exactly two weeks before Oosaravelli and NTR is raring to have a go at it. Will he outperform Mahesh's Dookudu or at least match it up with a good hit is to be seen. Game on folks!
