In Bollywood collecting a gross collection of 100 crore in India has turned out to be the benchmark for a successful film. All the stars are aiming to reach that hundred crore mark with every film and we are witnessing more and more in the club in recent times. Likewise our Tollywood too has a benchmark for a super hit film.

Gone are the days where number of centers that the movie runs for fifty or hundred days used to be the true scale to measure a movie's success. Only number that matters now is how much share a movie collects. Tollywood has witnessed a string of super hits in less than a year's time and as per the statistics any movie that collects a share over forty crore can be termed as a super hit.

Businessman, Racha and Eega collected over forty crores share this year and Gabbar Singh went on to cross 60 crore rupees share. Gabbar Singh and Dookudu (55 crores share) were blockbusters as they went an extra mile and made it to 60 and 50 crores clubs respectively. 30 crores share used to be the benchmark for a Telugu film in the past. Now our super hits are crossing that mark in our state alone. Tollywood is shining and how? 

Hot Villain's Mysterious Disappearance

One of the most sought after and hot villains in the southern circuit is Sonu Sood and lately he has begun to make his presence felt strongly in the Bollywood circuit too. However, the last one week have been quite pensive as it is heard that Sonu has gone missing and is untraceable.


Well, before anyone can panic here is the update. It is heard that this muscular man is in Canada and is busy hosting a show. The catch is, Sonu had reportedly forgotten his mobile at the Frankfurt airport. It is heard that this is the very expensive Vertu Luxury mobile phone.

Buzz is that it is in the custody of the officials of the private airline and they have refused to hand it over to any known contact of Sonu. Instead, they are sending it to Sonu’s sister who lives in the US. Apparently, Sonu is meeting his sister around August 10th so after that he would be traceable. Till such time, he will be out of range.

'SVSC'- Venky's Blunder?

Ever since Victory venkatesh has accepted to do a multi starrer in the combo of  Prince Mahesh Babu for the movie 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu', some of his supporters are said to have annoyed with his decision to act a multi starrer. According to them, venkatesh's image would not get any damage if he does muilti starrer with a senior hero like Kamal Haasan, as he did the movie 'Eenadu' with him. However, if he acts with a junior hero, who has super stardom among the public, obviously, more importance is given to that superstar hero and that is happening now. Though, the makers have taken proper care to balance the characters of both the heroes in the movie, media may highlight Mahesh Babu's news rather venkatesh's.  On the other hand, some more fans of venkatesh are saying that the above argument is completely wrong and venkatesh's image might not get any damage and instead, he surely steals the show at the end of the day, surpassing Mahesh's show. One should get a proper support from heroine in terms of glamour for a commercial cinema. And if they are going to don bikini to raise the heat, it will be a plus for the hero, at least for a debutant.

Mega 'struggling' hero Sai Dharam Tej is still fighting with his 'Rey' to get that mega-launch in Tollywood. The film got delayed with lead girl Shubra Ayappa walking out of it. But now, a Kingfisher bikini model is roped in and we all know how YVS Chowdary exploits the body of heroines.

Her name is Saiyami Kher. She is famous for her bikini shoots for various calendars in India and abroad. Sources revealed that she is going to sport all those skimpy and bold outfits for 'Rey' too.

Puri disappoints Mahesh fans

Businessman is one film the fans of Mahesh Babu enjoyed the most in the recent years. Although Dookudu was a tremendous success, it's only the terrific performance of Mahesh in this Puri's flick that completely satisfied the 'hungry' fans.

Till recently, everyone believed that a sequel of this action entertainer is on the cards. Even Puri had announced his plans to come up with a sequel to Businessman. Ram Gopal Varma who claimed to have heard the storyline of the sequel from Puri went ahead and declared during the success meet of the film that Businessman is nothing when compared to its sequel. However, Puri now confirms that there willn't be Businessman 2, instead he will come up with a new story for Mahesh soon.

Even Puri made a similar promise (Pokiri 2) earlier, but that hasn't materialised due to the reasons best known to him. Fans of Mahesh are miffed with this crazy director as he is unable to keep his promise for the second time. Although Pokiri 2 hasn't happened, Puri compensated the loss with Businessman. Will he repeat the same trick again is to be seen!

Sampath Nandi became a big name in Tollywood after directing Megapower Star Ram Charan's 'Racha'. From that time, he is struggling to sign his third movie and here comes the sensational news about it.

After directing romantic comedy 'Yemaindi Ee Vela' and action enetertainer 'Racha', Sampath got yet another chance to handle the biggest wigs of Mega heroes now. None other than Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has given nod for an exciting script narrated by this young director. Many people who have criticized Sampath for preparing outdated scripts, are now keeping their finger on mouths.

Ram Charan's Race Course In Hyderabad

Priyanka's Sentiment to Make 'Zanjeer' SH!

bollywood hot actress Priyanka Chopra seems to have turned out to be a golden leg for the team of 'Zanjeer', in connection with an interesting sentiment. As per this, she earlier acted in the remakes of Amitabh Bachchan's super hit films like 'Don' and 'Agneepath'. Shahrukh Khan's 'Don' had been a hit movie based on its collections, while Hrithik Roshan's 'Agneepath' was a super hit at the box office. Balayya is all set to rock Tollywood as a powerful journalist in his latest movie 'Srimannarayana'. Produced by Ramesh Puppala and directed by Ravi Chawla, the film is expected to his screens in August. Here comes a sample of his dialogue treat to make fans go merry.

Allu Arjun has better plans than Charan

Ram Charan is certainly superstar material and he has proved his caliber with just four movies. However, his planning doesn't seem perfect when compared to others. In six years he has done only four movies and when everything is set for him to take over the throne, Charan decided to do a Hindi film, which is absolutely not needed at this point.

Despite doing three films at a time, he couldn't get the schedules right. He likes to expand his market to Tamilnadu and Kerala, but didn't do it with a right project. Magadheera could have been the right film for him to conquer other states. That film was released very late in Tamil and Malayalam and couldn't make much of an impact.

Racha was made for fans by keeping mega heroes image in mind. Releasing it in Tamil and Malayalam was a joke. Allu Arjun is better in planning his career compared to Charan. He doesn't take hasty decisions like doing Hindi movies and remains level headed in choosing films to expand his market. When every other hero is looking to dub his movie in Tamil, Allu Arjun decided to keep Julayi away from it. Instead he is having big plans to capture Kollywood market. He will do a bilingual project in a big way to launch himself in Tamil film industry, say sources. He is in talks with few top directors from Tamilnadu.

When will 'Magadheera' Records Break?

One might have seen Pawan Kalyan’s stamina with ‘Gabbar Singh’ or Mahesh Babu’s capacity with ‘Dookudu’ or SS Rajamouli’s vision with ‘Eega’ but not even one of them touched the records of ‘Magadheera’ which stood high and unreachable. Thanks to that Charan and Rajamouli’s combo flick which was filled with too many ‘Wow’ factors. There were quite a number of good hits witnessed on Telugu screen post ‘Magadheera,’ unfortunately the said ‘Wow’ factors were missing in all of them. As per the buzz from inner sources, Rajamouli is determined to break his own records this time in combination with prabhas. Yes, Jakkanna is eager to start the shoot of high budgeted flick with prabhas which will go on sets by this year end. In order to make sure that ‘Magadheera’ will be pushed to second place, Rajamouli is heard of taking enough care to bring the new commercial face in Rebel Star. While the trade of other young heroes like Mahesh, Charan and Tarak is multiplied by number of times in recent years, caliber of prabhas alone is untapped till now. Given the right story line and required number of punching action scenes, prabhas and Rajamouli can beat ‘Magadheera’ easily and that time could be only in 2013 or 14.

South India's First Superhero

The concept of a superhero is something which has evolved in the Hollywood circuit and has made cine buffs across the world its fan. The likes of Superman, Batman, Spiderman and the recent superheroes like Hulk, Iron Man etc have always created that special craze among the audience.

India also had its answer in the form of Ra.One, Krrish etc but now the time has come for an authentic superhero of the south. Yes, it is heard that the first superhero from the south is emerging in Kollywood with the new movie 'Mugamoodi'. This has Jiiva of 'Rangam' fame in the lead.

The Telugu version has been titled as 'Mask' and it is heard that Jiiva would be seen with some supernatural powers. This has been directed by Mysskin and the Telugu version has been bought by R B Choudary. The audio release is happening on August 12th and the music is composed by Sathya. Samantha sacked from Charan’s film?!!

If the buzz is to be believed, Samantha is sacked from Ram Charan’s film Yevadu. The actress has been suffering with mysterious illness due to which she was resting at home for quite some time. Samantha confessed that she was down with some illness and will be back in action from July 20. That didn’t happen till date and her movies that are currently under production are facing problems.

Samantha is yet to start shooting for Yevadu. She was supposed to join the shoot of Yevadu from October. But Dil Raju is searching for other options to replace her. He is one among the producers that are suffering due to Samantha’s absence. His prestigious project Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is being delayed due to Samantha.

Dil Raju, a shrewd producer, doesn’t want to risk by continuing with Samantha for his other production Yevadu. Although nothing is confirmed officially, the buzz says that Samantha is sure to miss this project. She has already lost Mani Ratnam’s Kadal and Shankar’s I for the same reason. It is the actress’s bad luck to lose such great opportunities at a crucial juncture. Hope Sam recovers quick before she loses some more.

‘Uh Kodathara..’ Murdered In Rythu Bazar !!

General notion is that critics murder the fate of a movie at Box Office and the Manchu sister and brother stressed this earlier. The same hero is now feeling that the murder is taking place in Rythu Bazar also.

While Manoj is trying to fight piracy of his latest movie ‘Uh Kodatara Ulikki Padatara’ with a single hand, pirates are not giving him sleep anymore. Disgustingly, UKUP pirated version CDs are being sold in Guntur Rythu Bazar for 50 rupees. In a sting operation conducted by anti-piracy cell and a popular TV channel, this incident came to lime light.

‘We felt only critics are murdering UKUP but now it is getting murdered in Rythu Bazars. This piracy is more heinous that a murder even’, says Manoj, while reacting about the news. ‘We are enjoying the success of our movie by touring various centres in Andhra. But these kinds of news are disturbing us’, feels Lakshmi Manchu.

'CGR' to be Preponed!

Of late, we are witnessing many big projects are getting delayed due to several reasons such as financial problems, clashing with other big movies etc. In this scenario, one movie is planned to be preponed to its release date and that is none other than Power Star Pawan Kalyna's 'cameraman gangatho rambabu'. As per the schedule, the movie has to be released on 18th October. Since the movie's talky part is completing at the end of this month and the first copy will be readied by 3rd October, the makers are planning to release the movie on 11th October. Moreover, Dasara holidays for schools and colleges will be starting on 13th October. Taking all these things into consideration, the makers are said to have decided to prepone the movie on 11th October.  Milky beauty Tamannah is pairing up with Pawan Kalyan for the first time. Manisharma is scoring the music of the film. Puri Jagannadh is directing this movie as a satirical and message oriented film. The movie is being made on Universal Media. As per producer Radha Krishna, movie received a clean U certificate with no cuts recommended. Already music scored by Devi Sri Prasad is a roaring hit and there are high chances of movie to score the same at Box Office because the pre-release buzz is quite optimistic. ‘julaayi’ will release both in Telugu and Malayalam on August 9 with nearly 1600 screens as the primary count till now. Producer and Director are quite happy with the output. With few days left before the release, entire team will now set on the duty to promote the film on high scale. Post the success of contemporary sperm subject ‘Vicky Donor,’ actress yaami gautham has been riding a high wave. Despite not being too well-versed with the language, recently she started participating in the shoot for bilingual ‘Gauravam.’ While the makers thought it best to shift dates so as to provide Yaami with more time to learn the language, being a thorough professional Yaami decided to take it up this as a challenge and learn both Tamil and Telugu simultaneously in very short time. Without going for a proper coaching, Yaami used to sit with script and with the team to work on her lines until she got them right. Also I am grateful that the team has been very supportive,’ Yaami said.

There is already news that 'Panjaa' movie producer Neelima is going to produce a special song on Pawan Kalyan's 'Pawanism'. Here is the latest buzz about it. This song is going to be composed by none other than the talented singer Baba Sehgal.

Recently, Baba enthralled mega fans with 'Gabbar Singh' title song, Dekho Dekho Gabbar Singh. He is going to shake the fans up now with Pawanism song. Also this Punjabi singer is the lyric writer for this song which will have the hook line, 'Pawa Pawa Pawa Pawan Kalyan'. This small bit is enough to show how the song is going to thrill the largest fan group in Tollywood.

Chiru And Jagan Joined Hands

Congress party in the state is of the feeling that MP Chiranjeevi and YSR-C Chief Jagan have joined hands now. They have joined hands in becoming the headache to the party but nothing in physical.

Apparently, CM Kiran is right now worried by two major political groups in the state. One is megastar Chiru's group that is lobbying strongly for the post of CM for their leader. Second one is Jagan's party that is always using opportunities created by Congress rivals to knock him down. On the flip side, Kiran is finding it easy to handle Botsa, DL and even TRS Party and their issue.

Reports are saying that already a few Telangana based anti-CM groups have joined hands to extend their support to Chiru, to make him next boss of state.

YSR-C on the other hand is attracting more and more leaders from Congress every day. Though no one is coming into public now, they will give punch to ruling party all of a sudden, says an analyst.

If these things happen, Kiran will face a forced exit in the state. Off course, that will lead to the collapse of whole AP Congress but not just him. Let us see how our CM will handle these headaches.

By the time ‘Magadheera’ was made, Rajamouli has a solid following similar to the craze what we have seen yesterday for ‘Eega.’ Yes, Rajamouli is a brand but director Sampat Nandi did not possess any such value before making of ‘Racha’ which actually stood in top 3 industry records and that too at a time when ramcharan’s career was questioned with a dropped ‘Merupu’ and a flop ‘Orange.’ So, the answer is there within. A director’s duty ends only with making the product readied for release. Then, it’s the Star Stamina of Hero which rules the judgment. Experimental Projects might have to rely on a Director's Name and Fame but Mass Commercial Movies always stand upon a Hero's Craze and Following.

After NTR, now Bunny Got Rejected

More than finding the dates of Heroes, lives of Directors are getting miserable in finding the call-sheets of Heroines. As usual, until industry runs behind Winning Faces and Luck Factors before finalizing a Heroine in big project, definitely makers would end up only with three to four hot babes. First in the list now days would be shruti hasan, after bagging the industrial hit ‘Gabbar Singh.’ Before ‘GS,’ we do know of Shruti rejecting the proposal of Boyapati Srinu to act besides Junior NTR in ‘Dammu.’ Now, for the second time we hear of Shruti saying a no to Allu Arjun for the project to begin in direction of Puri Jagannath from next month. ‘I have no dates. I am missing the opportunity to work with two great people like Bunny and Puri but have no regrets because I am quite busy at work with Hindi and a couple of other Telugu projects,’ says Shruti softly rejecting Bunny.

When Will Cherry Sing?

In fact, he wanted to show his singing talent in his debut movie itself. However, as per the suggestions of his near and dear, he dropped the idea of singing in the very first movie. NTR to do The Remake of 'Saagara Sangamam'?

Long back, it was heard that Young Tiger ntr would do a movie in the direction of Kalatapaswi K.Viswanadh and the movie would give importance to classical dance. Well, having heard that gossip, many of ntr's followers welcomed that move by the ntr. Thereafter, there were no indications of ntr doing movie in the combo of K.Viswanadh. And now, again the news of the combo of ntr and K.Viswanadh was out and it was revealed by none other the great director K.Viswanadh himself.  Talking to the newsmen in one of his recent interviews, K.Viswanadh revealed that ntr had approached him recently asked him to do the remake of great actor Kamal Haasan's 'Sagara Sangamam'. However, K.Viswanadh said that it was risky doing the remake of this master piece. However, the duo had not kept their proposal on the shelves but the negotiations are still going on. Hope, the project will be worked out.

Every time when Mega Star appears before public for a Political or Personal meeting, the first question from media and Fans would be about the status of 150th film. Meanwhile, we hear of ramcharan cannot give the prestigious chance of producing this venture to any other makers and he wants to take the credit for his own. Now days, both father and son have become busy with their own professions. While Chiranjeevi is a Rajya Sabha with a set of prescribed duties for uplifting the position of Congress in State and Centre, ramcharan is also occupied doing three projects at once. This made the story and script discussions of 150th project almost to a halt. So, one can expect good news only when Cherry finds some time for his dad.

Mega Power Star ram charan's industry hit movie 'Magadheera' completed three years of its release on 31st July, 2012. The movie created innumerable records which are unbreakable even today. Among these records, the movie achieved a special record and surely, it is said that the rarest of the rare records. Going  by the details, as of now, Telugu industry has seen a couple of industry hits in its 81 years of history. Among these industry hits, no industry hit has crossed the previous industry hit with double the share margin except 'Magadheera'. In 2006, Prince Mahesh Babu's 'Pokiri' turned out to be an industry hit and collected a share of Rs.40 crores. 'Magadheera' collected a share of Rs.78 crores in Telugu version alone excluding audio and satellite rigthts. If Tamil and Malayalam versions are taken into consideration, the movie collected a total share of Rs.86+ crores excluding audio and satellite rights. If any movie in future wishes to level this record( double the share of 'Magadheera') the movie has to collect a share of Rs.180 crores. Will it be possible? Lets wait and watch.

What is Their Fate without Balayya?

The verdict is clear. Audiences are enjoying the characterization of balakrishna in ‘Uu Kodathara Ulikki Padathara’ while the major drawback is agreed to be the dull first half. In particular, first half an hour to forty minutes is treated as a non-stop torture where Manoj has gone over board showing his creative enthusiasm. For the moment, inner sources say collections are not that disappointing because except ‘Eega’ there is no big competitor in market. A better first half could have taken ‘UKUP’ to further high range of success. However, Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna also did her part efficiently leaving the audience spell bound in climax episode. For a perfect picture on whether ‘UKUP’ will land into safe commercial zone or end in deficits for Manchu family will be known only when new movies will hit screens this Thursday and Friday.

Rajamouli Came To Know The Fact !!

EEGA, an experimental movie by Rajamouli got an excellent reviews by Critics as well as superb openings at Box-office. After watching this movie trade pundits expressed their views that it might cross the collections of recent release GABBAR SINGH &  thought that No hero require to Rajamouli to score a Block buster. But things had changed now.

Earlier of EEGA release many of the critics thought that its a one time watchable & it may not get repeat audience and some didn’t agreed, praised Rajamouli as Telugu Nalon or some thing. But the audience of Telugu cinema was rejected and they need Hero to show directors story.

Coming to collections, First and second week was fully packed and coming to third week collections dropped enormously. And with this reason Rajamouli & his team are fighting against Piracy. But piracy is not main criteria, if the film is super hit no body want to watch it in piracy. Magadheera, dhookudu, Gabbarsingh are the examples. So Rajamouli tricks are not working here as Telugu audience needs Hero to see repeatedly …….

Charan opens up about quitting Twitter

Ram Charan quitting Twitter bandwagon all of a sudden after his marriage has become a big talk in Industry. Speculations have been made that the reason could be the intolerable comments from followers about Upasana. But the actor has few more reasons behind taking such tough decision.

In his recent interview, Charan revealed that he choose to stay away from Twitter as its invading his privacy and causing unnecessary problems. Sometimes followers force him to discuss issues that he don't wish to and they even misunderstand when he personally calls a hero and wish him on his birthday instead of positing a tweet by commenting he had differences with that hero and so he didn't wish him. To avoid such mess he opt to quit.

Record Price for CGR in East Godavari

Power Star Pawan Kalyan's highly anticipated movie 'cameraman gangatho rambabu' is on sets now. It is learnt that the movie's rights for East Godavari area have been sold out to R.R.Film Distributors. 'Although, the exact price is not known, it can easily be more than Rs.2.50 crores', say the sources. This is said to be an all time record price for this area is concerned.  Milky beauty Tamannah is doing the role of 'Cameraman Ganga' in this movie and is pairing up with Pawan Kalyan. Manisharma is scoring the music. Puri Jagannadh is directing this commercial and message oriented mass entertainer. The movie is being produced by D.V.V.Danayya under the banner Universal Media. The movie is gearing up for release on 18th October with record number of prints.

'Julaayi' failed with 'Pakado'

The much anticipated song of ‘Pakado Pakado’ directed by Trivikram Srinivas for the promotion of ‘Julayi’ isn’t getting the needed recognition. This is for first time director has gone for an experimental mode of promotional song shot lavishly on Allu Arjun and Devi Sri Prasad. Although the song was of rap style, audience expected too much of dance and energy from Bunny and DSP but unluckily it was simple and stylishly shot.  For the moment, ‘julaayi’ makers are screening the song not only in TVs but also on big screens where ‘UKUP’ and ‘Onamalu’ are currently running. Gopichand: One Movie - Two Openings

Aggressive hero gopichand and heroine Nayanathara’s combo flick ‘Jaganmohan IPS’ in the direction of Bhoopathy Pandiyan has already got the muhurat clap and completed the first schedule. Komara Venkatesh and Thandra Ramesh planned this as a bi-lingual action entertainer. Mean while story took a twist with Bhoopathy Pandiyan sent back to Chennai and shooting halted in between shelving the entire project.  Now, producers have ordered for a second press release for the same film and director Srivaas of ‘Lakshyam’ fame is roped in. ‘We liked the police story narrated by Srivaas. Currently the script work is on. We ill begin the schedule with Thaman’s music sittings in August and that will be the muhurat of opening. In a single non-stop schedule, total shooting will be wrapped up,’ said producers today. Looks like, the film is one based on a cop subject but there will be two opening muhurats.

Manchu Family's Big Mistake!!

The Tollywood circuit has many noted families and they are quite popular with their surnames. The likes of Nandamuri, Akkineni, Daggubati, Allu, Konidela tend to stand in the first list.
