'confident on "Racha"' Ramcharan

Ram Charan is presently busy with shoot of his  film"Racha". which is currently progressing in a specially erected set in Hyderabad. Tamannah is playing the female lead role in the film.The film is expected to hit the silver screens for Christmas.

Mahesh Babu is the real Oosaravelli

Prince Mahesh Babu always behaves as if he is not into starry issues such as records, collections reports etc. But whenever given a chance Mahesh Babu comes up with the fake numbers and records and expresses his joy over them.

Heroes don't talk about records prior to any movie release. But Mahesh Babu always says that it will be a record breaking film for any movie that is ready for release. He stated the same for Khaleja but it misfired. He repeated the same for Dookudu and it is really doing well. However Prince is so addicted to fake numbers that even for a hit film he is hyping the collections by a mile. Although his fans are happy with these fake records, onlookers say that Oosaravelli title suits Mahesh to the T.

His producers too go hand in hand with the hero either to impress him or show their power to the industry. Dookudu is doing extremely good at the moment but not as great as the 'official' numbers that are being released to the press. What is even more shameless is they are printing those fake records on the sweet boxes they are distributing. This is a classic example for 'Athma Vanchana'!

Records breaking, making, remaking

 
It is now time to talk about records breaking and making. All that matters is the first day collections, number of theaters or openings in the film parlance, it is not the storyline, nor the acting potential, directional values, acting skills, technical acumen that matters. All come later if the film goes beyond second week.
Tollywood is abuzz with records. Who created what and who broke what? Pokiri created record in many ways. The next genre movies had only that film in mind, How to break that record and Tollywood barred all to brace up the trend. Next came Magadheera, it erased the previous record and created its own. Now every aspect in film making moves around it.
Then dubbing movies spree came as a big jolt to Tollywood and its top brass.
Dukudu and Mahesh Babu came like a whiff of fresh air and Tollywood did not miss a second to blow the trumpet and drum up all its available instruments. Records of collections day wise overseas collections were flashed adding pep to the hype.
Now comes Oosaravilli and the festive spirit is adding up to its pre-release publicity, Nothing wrong. But again its all about the expected collections, the number of theatres being released breaking the earlier records and so on.
As of now, it is Oosaravilli, next there are other pictures in the queue to inflate the number of theatres and the box office collections giving scant respect to the content and technical skills.

Pawan stunning new look in Panjaa

The new film of power star Pawan Kalyan in the direction of Vishnuvardhan has completed shooting barring two songs. The songs will be filmed from October 10. The title 'Panjaa' is official and final.
Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for the film. Pawan Kalyan sports an entirely different look in the film with beard and all. The film makers plan to release the trailer during Deepavali and the film in December. The first look posters of Panajaa were released today.

What’s Wrong With Tollywood?

Something is very much amiss with Tollywood which has the reputation of being the only cinema industry in the world producing around 150 plus films every year in one language, Telugu. In spite of the enormous quantity of production, sadly the quality is missing. Very few Telugu films had won National Awards and none made an entry into the International Film Festival circuit. Though 99% of Telugu films follow the song-dance-fight-drama-comedy formula of the Indian mainstream commercial cinema, jubilee hits in its own Telugu turf are few and far between.
The last big hit in Tollywood was Ram Charan’s Magadheera directed by SS Rajamouli in 2009. Later on, all big budget films with top stars – Mahesh Babu’s Khaleja, Pawan Kalyan’s Teen Maar, Ntr Jr’s Shakti, Siddharth’s Anaganaga O Dheerudu , Rana’s Nenu Naa Rakshasi,  Ravi Teja’s Veera and Allu Arjun’s Badrinath have been great disasters at the box office. All these films are multi-crore productions and a conservative estimate of around Rs 200 cr of production costs of all these films have gone into the drain.
The only films that did well were NTR Jr’s Brindaavanam, Sunil’s Maryada Ramanna, Prabhas’ Mr Perfect and Naga Chaitanya’s 100% Love. A few small budget films like Ala Modalaindi, Prema Kavali, Seema Tapakai have done well at the box office.
The basic reason for this debacle appears to be that producers and directors seem to go for grandiose sets and locations and packing the narration with computer SFX with little concern for basic plot, content and characterization.

What’s Wrong With Tollywood?

When will Tollywood realize that cinema is fundamentally an audio-visual story- telling art. Who will watch a movie that induces yawn after yawn? Even if the commercial cinema format is supposed to be just entertainment and nothing else, where are the essential ingredients of entertainment?
It is high time that Tollywood wakes up. Instead of wasting hundreds of crores on production of star-studded box-office duds, let Telugu film-makers come out with films with meaningful entertainment. There is also an urgent need to go for multi-starrers to justify high budget productions. Look at Bollywood. Amitabh Bachchan acts in multi-starrers. Are our Telugu stars bigger than Big B?

'Oosaravelli' records in Sonia hands

 









Dookudu of Mahesh Babu has made historical total share of collections in Nizam area (all records  are fake). Though agitations in this area are crippling the lives and affecting citizens, entertainment wise business hasnt got a considerable blow as evidential with roars of Dookudu at Box Office. After the festival of Dasara, there is every chance of separate state movement entering into an aggressive and inhuman phase where leaders are compelled to take the movement towards militant phase of attacks.
If such is the case with Central Governments UPA choosing to buy more time over the issue with many more consultations needed, a late decision by Sonia Gandhi will first affect the oosaravelli business from our cinema point of view. Ram Charan's 'Rachcha...Rachcha..'

 













Jr.NTR popularized the word Rachcha with a dialogue in one of his films. The word is now the title for a film with Ram Charan as hero. Hero Ram Charan is now busy with a new schedule of his new film Rachcha. The unit of the film is now shooting some scenes on the hero at a specially erected set at a location near Hyderabad.
The dance set is very impressive. Tamanna is the leading lady in the film. According to information the scenes that are now being filmed on the hero and heroine are about their attending dance classes. The two of them enroll themselves at a dance academy and are now seen practicing at the dance class.

Shah Rukh Khan thanks Rajinikant for Ra.One

Setting aside the illness, rumors and negative talk on Ra. One, Shah Rukh expressed his gratitude to super star Rajinikant for attending the last leg of his mega venture.
"Misconcepts, misunderstood. Stressed and then Rajini sir walks on sets and you know why God made films. Thanx Soundarya for making our dream come true," Shahrukh tweeted. "Ra.One completed on Monday. Rajini sir blessed it. Have tears in my eyes of gratitude and only prayers and love for his whole family. You complete us sir," he said.

Ram Charan’s Raccha to move to China

Ram Charan Tej’s Rachcha is presently conducting its shooting at Hyderabad which is expected to conclude by next week. Some action sequences are being canned at the Aluminum factory.
The next schedule will be in China where the shooting will take place in the backdrop of the Great Wall of China and other well known monuments. According to sources, a couple of songs and a fight scene will be shot in this schedule.
Director Sampath Nandi is said to be making the film with some surprise elements in the story which will suit the body language of Ram Charam. The female lead is played by Tamanna. Music for the film has been composed by Mani Sarma.

Dookudu will not cross Magadheera

Reports are arriving from different collection centers that the collections have taken a dip. While the Telangana region is stuttering due to the constant chaos of the bandhs and Rasta Rokos, even the other regions are reporting a dip in the collections.

Now, the market analysts say that if this trend continues then the 'Dookudu' frenzy will be down by this weekend. Already, the hype has begun for 'Oosaravelli' so it is looking obvious that 'Magadheera' will still be ruling the top slot for some more time.

Sexual Harassment Case On Nag!

The Telugu film industry in Hyderabad was shaken with shocking news on Saturday that a woman journalist filed a sexual harassment case against Yuvasamrat Akkineni Nagarjuna, the heart-throb of girls in the industry. 

The scribe, Sunitha Chowdary, who regularly contributes film reports and reviews to national daily The Hindu for its Hyderabad edition, lodged a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police against Nagarjuna under Section 506 (illegal confinement of a person) and Section 509 (outraging the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.

The police have registered the case against Nagarjuna and are investigating. The details of what exactly had happened between the woman reporter and Nagarjuna and where are not exactly known.

But inquiries revealed that Sunitha Chowdary, who is also a member of the State Film Censor Board, reportedly complained to the police that Nagarjuna had harassed her mentally and physically and abused her in filthy language.

The girl has switched off her mobile for other scribes.

Confirmed: 'Magadheera' is Safe No one Can cross it

The total first week accumulation of Rs.30 Crores for dookudu is a new achievement showing the stamina of Mahesh Babu. However trade reports are confirming that long stand for the movie is highly impossible because repeat value for the flick is very less compared to Magadheera, which is the actual target Mahesh Babu has to cross.

samanta has become the lucky girl for heroes in Tollywood. Hit talk for dookudu is blocking the minds of audience. Trade pundits have begun to check the possibilities of Mahesh Babu crossing his own Pokiri or Cherrys Magadheera. Comparison might be apt between these three stupendous hits but chances of dookudu crossing Mount Everest like Magadheera are subjected to some constraints.
Yes, post the release of Magadheera many star flicks arrived at BO but audience rejected each of them comparing with Rajamouli standards. That made Kala Bhairava to go on a literal massacre of records. Not a surprise that few theatres in Coastal Andhra have gone for full houses till 50 and 60 days.

Behind the Movie Dookudu: Pre release hype for this Mahesh Babu film has been the highest in recent times. Successful Samanta, minimum guaranteed director Srinu Vytla and the hit music from Thaman have further made Dookudu, the exciting flick of season. Let us see, how far Mahesh has justified the title?
In the Movie Dookudu: Shankar Narayan alias Shankar Anna (Prakashraj) is a mass leader in the area of Shankar Nagar in Hyderabad. He lives for poor and destitute people in his area. His rival Mallesh Goud (Kota) joins hands with Underworld Don Nayak (Sonu Sood) to kill Shankar Anna and his brother Satyam (Rajeev Kanakala). The plan is executed as the vehicle in which Shankar Anna and his followers are traveling is hit by the truck. Every body assumes that Shankar Anna is dead and his little son grows into a young IPS Officer Ajay (Mahesh Babu) who takes undercover duty to erase Nayak and his gang.
To find the clue of Nayak, here is Ajays team that lands in Istanbul, Turkey and there he meets Prashanthi (Samanta) who becomes his love interest. From here on Ajay keeps on posing a problem for Nayak and his followers in Hyderabad. In the mean time, its revealed that Shankar Anna is alive, recovered from coma. Ajay wants to see his father be happy rest of his life.
Here Ajay comes to know that, men behind his fathers car accident are none other than Mallesh Goud, Nayak and their local team. A perfect and funny sketch is laid by Ajay now to trap the entire Mafia team. How did Bokka Venkat Rao (MS Narayana) and Padma Shri (Brahmi) become scapegoats in this sketch takes the show to a climax where in as usual Ajay completes the task of being an IPS and also does his duty of a son.
Values of the Movie Dookudu: Srinu Vytla has repeated the age old trick of rope tight screenplay for his films. Story by Gopi Mohan is nothing like an innovative plot but has all ingredients needed for a commercial formula. Srinu Vytla has weaved the screenplay effectively and presented the same on screen with his wonderful Directorial abilities. Dialogues written By Srinu are repeatedly generating claps and whistles in theatres. Cinematography by Guhan and Prasad Murella is not a master work but followed a routine pattern. Same applies for editing by MR Varma. Musical output from Thaman for songs is enhanced on the screen by beautiful picturization. Production values of 14 Reels are above average.
Performance wise, Dookudu is a one man show by Mahesh Babu. Prince has shown all round skills in comedy timing, emotional balance, action sequences and dances. The way he pronounced the word POLICE and the way Telangana dialect is used have well synced with the character. Heroine Samanta just remained for glam sake. Prakashraj was presented in a different format and that is impressive. Sonu Soods villainy is okay. Show stealers in Dookudu after Mahesh Babu are Brahmanandam and MS Narayana. All the hilarious episodes covering these two have come out non stop entertaining. Tanikella Bharanai, Kota, Subba Raju, Sudha, Dharmavarapu, Satya Krishna and the remaining laborious star cast have done the job to their roles. Item song 'Poovai Poovai' is also well picturized on Parvati Melton.
Out of the Movie Dookudu: Though this story cant be said as an apt one for the image of Mahesh Babu yet Srinu Vytla has come out with a clean family entertainer. There are enough shades of Pokiri, Ready, Kantri and many more movies yet the final result is to please you. Audiences are coming out totally satisfied enjoying the 3 hour laughing riot mixed with action and mass heroism.
First half has got more interesting episodes with rapidly paced screenplay taking the narration in top gear with good interval twist. Second half is an improvisation or a modified version to regular Srinu Vytla movies. He tends to take too many cinematic liberties that automatically generate good fun. Second half of Dookudu is more of a screenplay based one.
For Prince Fans, you are to have a full meal with Mahesh Babu excelling in every department. For common audience, Dookudu might remain an above average movie. Lastly intelligent audience who search for creativity may not be totally satisfied by this conventional, routine, commercial formula based flick. Srinu Vytla failed to maintain the same excitement of first half in second half. There was although a bit of lag here and there, he pulled it off with highly worked out comedy.
BO wise, Dookudu will open to average talk.

Ram Charan Teja to debut in Bollywood with Amitabh movie

The trend of old blockbusters being remade with the current crop of reigning stars has gripped Bollywood. Just like how Hrithik Roshan is starring in the Agneepath remake, rumour has it that Ram Charan Tej wants to make his Bollywood debut with the remake of Zanjeer.
Sources close to Charan admit that he is keen. “It’s true that Charan has shown a keen interest in the film, but nothing has been finalised as yet.”
Talks are on and the actor is still negotiating with the children of the late director-producer Prakash Mehra, for the rights of the film. Sources say, Charan should make an official announcement about his Bollywood dreams in two months.
Charan apparently wants to debut as an action hero, not a lover boy. Initially he wanted to debut with a film titled Welcome to the Jungle, a forest adventure, but shelved the idea after his much-hyped Telugu film Orange flopped. When Mehra’s office was contacted to confirm the news, their spokesperson admitted that they were in talks with several people who were interested in buying the film’s rights.
“In the past, many producers have approached us to remake films like Sharabi and Zanjeer. Even now we are approached by filmmakers who are keen on buying the rights of our films. We are in talks with many reputed producers. But we can’t name the interested parties at the moment. As soon as something concrete happens we will make an official announcement.”
If everything goes according to plan we will see Charan playing Vijay, an honest cop who is out to seek revenge after being jailed for six months on false charges made by the gangster Teja.

An avid senior film critic said, Simhadri was actually re-shot many times. That was the reason why film had a delayed release. Story was changed in mid stages of making. Rajamouli wanted to make it more emotional and more powerful. How can Tarak say that story wasnt changed? He has forgotten the facts behind sensational hit.
