Gabbar Singh to go on floors from Sept 9

At last, here is the good news from Pawan Kalyan.  It did not take the producers to announce a remake of Dabangg with Pawan in the lead, but it has taken them much time to launch the film officially (and the film will start shooting from Sept 9).
While Bandla Ganesh proudly unveils the film, director Harish Shankar promises that the film will be a full-on mass entertainer, with novel action and even more exciting characterizations (especially Pawan's).  He says, "Dabangg eminently suited the body language of Salman Khan, which explains why it was such a big hit.  Similarly, Gabbar Singh's character has been sketched to suit the body language and mannerism of Pawan Kalyan."
Harish says that the fights will be fresh.  Shruthi Hassan is the heroine.  Devi Sri Prasad reveals that "extraordinary tunes" have already been belched out by him and that the film will be a sure-shot musical hit.
Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ajay, Abhimanyu Singh, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmanandam, Ali, Rao Ramesh, Master Akash, Master Sainagan will be seen in the film.
Harish Shankar is writing the screenplay and dialogue as well.

Story:
Siddhu (Siddharth Rajkumar) has four friends and all of them study together in a school. There are three girls, who join their gang. Siddhu’s father (Bheemanani Srinivasa Rao) is an honest government employee. All these friends complete their plus two and join the college. As they grew up, Siddhu develops love towards Gita. Once a senior student called Robo teases Gitta and Siddhu challenges him and wins over him in bike race. Later, Robo tries to molest another girl in the lab, and Siddhu and his friends bash him. Accidentally, Robo picks a live cable and suffers electric shock. Then, the police start search for the boys. Siddhu and his gang takes shelter with their principal, who pleads with the police not to book a case against him as it would spoil their career. In the police station, the friends confess that Siddhu is in love with Gita and that is the reason why they tried to bash Robo. Later, all the friends warn Siddhu to forget his love and concentrate on career, but Siddhu ignores it. They desert him and Gita too listens to her parents and decides to concentrate on studies and turns a doctor. At this juncture, Siddhu’s father retires and agrees to shed the money as bribe to get a government job to Siddhu. However, Siddhu fails to turn up to the interview and loses the job. What happens next should be seen on-screen.
Performance:
None of the artistes could deliver a good performance as most of them are novices. In fact, one has to blame the director of the film for failing to extract the talents from the artistes. The director has also failed to give good characterisation to any of the artistes. The entire film is very confusing and the audiences had to grope in dark to understand, what the director wants to explain. Though looking pretty, Aishwarya and Rakul Preet Singh have not got any chance to perform.
Technical:
It is better to talk as less about the technical values in the film. Cinematography by A Venkatesh is good in parts and the draw back in the cinematography is the inconsistency in lighting. Editing by Suresh Urs is also not up to the mark as the joining of scenes are abrupt. Music by Joshua Sridhar is totally poor and the re-recording has also failed to elevate any of the scenes. The director of the film Gautham Patnaik should first learn the basic of preparing the script and screenplay. He must make his mind clear and visualise certain scenes before taking the shot. The storyline taken by the director is excellent. He wants to explain, how the youth are spoiling their career in the name of love, which is common among the teenagers. But when it comes to the presentation of the script on the celluloid, he has made several mistakes. He could neither highlight the story nor the hero through his characterisation.
Remarks:
When you go to a beach, you sit on the banks and enjoy the tidal waves of the sea from the shore. If you go near the sea, the waves will drench you with salty water. Don’t waste your money and time by going to the theatre.

Who will reprise Chiru in Hindi Tagore?

Despite achieving grand success big time with his first Bollywood film with Aamir Khan, Ghajini, AR Muragadoss did not make a second Hindi film over the years.  It seems he has finally decided to make an attempt to recreate the magic by remaking the successful Tamil film Ramana (which was remade by VV Vinayak in Telugu as Tagore).
Most expectedly, he will make the film on the lines of the Telugu version because it is a film that has all the ingredients of a typical entertainer - songs, comedy -  not to forget a happy ending.  On the other hand, Ramana, starring Vijaykanth, had a tragic climax where the hero is awarded a death sentence.
The big question now is, who will reprise the role of Chiranjeevi in Hindi?  Murugadoss made suitable changes when he re-interpreted Ghajini in Hindi and made it a monster hit.  He is no ordinary talent to not know the pulse of the Hindi movie-goers.
He might well make it into a more mature film whose hero wages a novel battle against the biggest crooks in various government departments.  In these times of anti-graft mood in the country when a 74-year old Gandhian crusader has galvanised the popular mood, will he go for an old superstar?  Will it be the 69-year old Amitabh Bacchan?
