Chiru's 'Indra' Still Unbeaten There

Can you believe that megastar chiranjeevi's 'Indra' is still holding the record of town highest share record in one of the towns of the state? Since the movie released ten years ago, it is hard to imagine that its collections could not be broken by any other movie. However, the unbelievable took place and the town where 'Indra's record safe was 'Tuni', which belongs to East Godavari area. Going by the details, the movie was released on 24th July, 2002 and ran 175 days in Tuni and collected a share of Rs.18 lakhs. No movie of  tollywood has crossed this share mark including 'Magadheera' in this town.  Interestingly, there is one more town in the state where 'Indra' occupied number two position even today and the town is 'Mandapeta'. In  'Mandapeta', 'Magadheera' collected a share of Rs.21 lakhs whereas, 'Indra' collected a share of Rs.19 lakhs. No movie has touched the shares of these two movies till now. Hope, forthcoming big projects will break these records.

24th July, A Special Day for Mega Bros.

24th July is said to be a very special day for mega brothers Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan. Pawan Kalyan's 'Tholiprema' was released on 24th July, 1998 and Chiranjeevi's 'Indra' movie was released on 24th July, 2002. Check out the details of those movies. THOLIPREMA: This was the first blockbuster in  the career of Pawan Kalyan. This romantic entertainer is considered to be the trendsetter, as many movies have been made with the similar concept after the release of 'Tholiprema'. This movie ran 100 days in 21 direct centers and 200 days in 2 centers. In Sandhya 70mm of Hyderabad, this movie ran for 218 days while in Liberty theater of Guntur, this movie ran for 225 days. This movie received 6 state Nandi awards and one national award for best popular feature film.  INDRA: This was the 8th industry hit of Megastar Chiranjeevi. This faction based movie collected an all time record share of Rs.33 crores( including satellite and audio rights) and broke the previous record share 24 crores, collected by 'Khushi'. Interestingly, this movie created all time records in 50 days, 100 days and 175 days  as well. This movie ran 50 days in 156 direct centers, 100 days in 118 direct centers and 175 days in 32 direct centers.

Mega Star Chiranjeevi gave two back to back blockbusters ‘Indra’ and ‘Tagore’ in the years 2002 and 2003 respectively. If ‘Indra’ proved to be the commercial mass entertainer, ‘Tagore’ was made as message oriented movie. Both the movies created all time run records those days. Besides, ‘Indra’ got the status of industry hit. Finally, both the movie brought very good fame to Chiranjeevi, especially, ‘Tagore’ was portrayed in such a way Chiranjeevi’s ideology and morale were revealed.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Gabbar Singh’ has been proved to be the commercial mass entertainer like Chiru’s ‘Indra’. This movie has already got the status of blockbuster. Pawan Kalyan has accepted to do the movie ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’ in the direction of Puri Jagannadh. This is going to be a message oriented commercial movie like Chiru’s ‘Tagore’. Will this movie be a blockbuster at the box office like Chiru’s ‘Tagore’? Can Pawan Kalyan give two back to back blockbusters like ‘Indra’ and ‘Tagore’?
