Press Note: GabbarSingh Beats Dookudu (Officially) Occupies No:2 Slot!!

Power star Pawan Kalyan’s “ Gabbar Singh” is on the anvil of becoming the 2nd highest grosser ( next to Magadheera)  in 81 years of Telugu film industry, according to the latest reports. Ever since the movie released, “Gabbar Singh” has managed to create new records at the ticket window and is still ruling the roost at the marquee.

The buzz is that “Gabbar Singh” has shattered the box office collections records and has created history by raking around Rs 63 crores in its third week. It was also reported that Salman Khan was keen on taking some scenes from “Gabbar Singh” and incorporating them in his sequel. The film is still running to packed houses and producer Ganesh Bandla Ganesh is now planning to hold the platinum disk function of the film shortly in Hyderabad. (TOI)

'Dookudu' shivers before 'Gabbar Singh'

Apparently, producer Bandla Ganesh Babu is behaving adamant like his hero by keeping away from official declaration of Gabbar Singhcollections. Perhaps, trade analysts are up with their paper work to come with solid inference on a possible danger of Dookudu records to get washed away by the non-stop inflows of Gabbar Singh. Irrespective of domestic and overseas markets, Pawan Mania continues to do the magic churning huge collections even in this second week.

In many centers, Gabbar Singh crossedDookudu by a record margin in first week. Its the final figure which matters and by the end of second or third weeks we can come to a conclusion. For the moment, surely Magadheera sits pretty on top followed by the tug of war competition going on between Dookudu and GS. Nevertheless, we have to agree that overseas shares of these two flicks made huge difference to final numbers.

Pawan on Mahesh Babu's Advantage!

Director Puri Jagannath has the knack of utilizing a hero’s charisma. He has done the same for Mahesh Babu. The superb commercial success of ‘Businessman’ has its reasons linked to the new found image of Mahesh Babu with blockbuster ‘Dookudu.’ Many agree that, Mahesh’s ‘Dookudu’ mania continued to ‘Businessman’ which got earth shattering opening collections yet failed to sustain for a minimum of 50 days run. Now, Pawan stands on same platform like where Mahesh Babu stood post ‘Dookudu.’ With ‘Gabbar Singh’ proved as a voluminous hit all over, it’s quite interesting to see how Puri Jagannath deals Pawan’s new image for forthcoming ‘Cameraman Ganga Tho Ram Babu.’  Obviously, Puri will be on big advantage because madness of ‘Gabbar Singh’ can easily drive ‘Ram Babu’ to hit shores. Of course, we do know about Puri’s jet speed taking and strict schedules with disciplinary production costs would keep the budget of ‘Ram Babu’ with in the prescribed limits. But, let us hope…content wise ‘Ram Babu’ will not be as weak as ‘Businessman.

Mahesh's 'Operation Magadheera' fails yet again




Mahesh Babu has been desperately trying to break the biggest grosser record in some or the other way. We have seen all the fake dramas done for Dookudu which fell short of Magadheera by at least 15 crores in full run. However, they have issued fake record press notes and printed those fake records on posters and self patted their shoulders.

That has only brought shame to Dookudu's genuine success. Mahesh Babu planned to beat Magadheera record truly with Businessman. Huge release was planned, serious hype was given and the stage was set for 'Mission Magadheera'. First week collections have almost reached 30 crore showing Mahesh Babu's star power.

But Puri Jagannadh's weak content isn't helping the cause as there is heavy fall in Businessman collections in the second week. Looking at the trend, Businessman may hardly cross 40 crore in full run, which means it will settle at the third spot in all time hits list. Magadheera is sitting high and safe at this point. Who is going to topple this film that made every Telugu proud? It will certainly need a better film than Dookudu and Businessman! 

Maheshbabu upset with Dookudu talk

Prince Mahesh Babu’s new film The Businessman is all set to hit the screens on January 11. Puri Jagannad is pairing up with Mahesh Babu after 5 years.The film is naturally one of the most talked about one in recent times. After Dookudu grand success, expectations on BusinessMan are huge.

Mahesh Babu expecting different thing from this movie. He was a bit upset with the comments in some section of the media that Dookudu became a big hit largely due to the comedy only. Many said that without Comedy Dookudu would not have become such a big hit. So Mahesh Babu now wants to prove that he can do without Brahmanandam and other comedians and still make the film a big hit.

Mahesh Babu deliberately wanted director not to rope any comedians in Business Man.Director Puri Jagannath has not cast any top comedian in the film except for Dharmavarapu. So, most of the comedy in the film will be done by Mahesh Babu himself. Let us see if Mahesh can pass this introspection.

Dookudu Vs Magadheers :100 Days

Dookudu the so called biggest hit fell on to the knees of Tollywood's BIGGEST EVER RECORD HIT Magadheera. Dookudu managed to sustain only 63 theaters for 100 days by blocking theaters of Panjaa & other movies but still Dookudu(63)(39 direct + 24 shift)  is 1/3 of Magadheera(232)(223 direct + 9 shift) . Though Dookudu producers Maketing Satergy (Fake Records) & Dollar Factor (Rs.51at Dookudu time & Rs.42 at Magadheera time) gave an intial openings to Dookudu but it could not surpass Magadheera records. Even Dookudu Producers accepted that Dookudu did not cross Magadheera records (after IT Raids) , Interesting Part Even Mahesh Babu twitted Initially that Dookudu is no 1 OFFICIALLY later on cried for his Ignorance and was silent .

Did Pawan Kalyan really stop them?

Why is it producers of Panjaa are hesitant to declare the record collections made by their flick in the first week? When many of the producers show hurriedness to hog limelight for their respective films by manipulating the real collections figures, luckily people behind Panjaa are keeping their tongues very much in control without raking any records controversy. Going by the attitude of Pawan, he could have definitely stopped producers from revealing the actual numbers because he believes in film running on its own strength rather than assorting to ham buck promotional stunts which are to not only to damage the reputation of hero but also show the effect on director and producers in the long run. This is one of the best gestures many should follow in industry because competition between heroes and films should always be in healthy environment, a popular opinion shared by trade analysts.

Dookudu bug bites Dil Raju

When the makers and heroes were not satisfied with what they achieved, fake claims overshadow the results and ultimately THE success hangs in shame! We have seen this for Dookudu which truly achieved so much, but was put to shame due to false claims of beating Magadheera.

On a side note, we have seen few of our readers quoting an article from so and so newspaper to prove that Dookudu records are true. Please get your facts right before believing in all such comedy stuff. Dookudu is nowhere near to what they claim. It is next to Magadheera in terms of gross and share and it will remain there even if their 'fake record' is covered by a National channel or an international newspaper. Why because finally the
genuine records stay and fake records gets blown away.

Coming to the current topic, it is Dil Raju's turn to make false claims over his film. He says that Oh My Friend is the best commercial hit in Siddharth's career. Then what about Bommarillu? What happened to such a unanimous hit? Sad part is even Bommarillu was from Dil Raju's banner and he should be proud of it on any day. But to prove that OMF is a big hit, he is making such silly statements. After all Bommarillu is history and OMF is still in theaters. All that matters is money, not the true value of a cinema! Irony!
