Jagan's Next Halt: Tihar Jail

Jagan's Next Halt: Tihar Jail
As the CBI's interrogation is nearing completion, now it's the turn of Enforcement Directorate (ED) to get the custody of the Kadapa MP.

Enforcement Directorate has registered cases against Jagan under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) for allegedly attracting investments into his companies from private firms as part of the quid pro quo deal when his father late YSR was CM of the state, floating several briefcase companies and involvement  in hawala transactions.

While seeking the custody of Jagan, Enforcement Directorate mentioned in its petition that there is no need for any other agency to question the tainted leader as the CBI has already interrogated him. On the other hand, CBI's petition seeking permission for Narco Analysis Test on Jagan will come to hearing on July 4. However, ED is hopeful that the CBI court will dismiss the CBI's Narco petition. If this guess comes true, then ED is likely to get the custody of Jagan very soon and changes are high that the investigation sleuths will shift the YSRC chief from Chanchalguda to Tihar Jail for questioning.

Tough times ahead for Jagan

Tough times ahead for Jagan

YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who is currently spending jail life in Chanchalguda, is in a fresh trouble as the the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is likely to get his custody soon. More than the CBI, this Central Agency is giving sleepless nights to the Kapada MP.

The ED is probing the Jagan illegal assets case and already registered cases under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

Enforcement Directorate recently approached CBI court seeking permission for the custody of Jagan and record his statement, as the Kadapa MP attracted investments into his companies from private firms as part of the quid pro quo deal when his father late YSR was CM of the state, floated several briefcase companies and also has hand in hawala transactions. The court, however, reserved its orders to JUNE 19 on Jagan's custody plea.

According to the senior HC lawyers, the ED is likely to get permission to interrogate the Yuva Neta in the next hearing itself. So, tough times ahead for Jagan
