Who can forget the words of rajamouli uttered during the release time promotion of ‘Eega’? He expressed inability in dealing with star heroes and is quite happy directing smaller ones like Nani. Later on, rajamouli even said of providing a story or script for Chiranjeevi’s 150th film but have no intentions or sufficient strength to direct the same. In no time, Jakkanna re-molded his words showing enough concern on directing Rajinikanth, if Super Star gives him a call. Success of ‘Naan Ee’ could have made the un-defeated director to spill some beans in order to attract Tamil audience and let us see what his statement was. ‘Rajini Sir appreciating Naan Ee is the most significant of all accolades. I feel like having won the most priceless award for the hard work. In fact, Rajini Sir is my childhood hero and is one whom I like the most. It is my dream to direct him. It is enough for me that he orders for a script and I don’t even need formal talks about taking the project forward.’ Let us see, when will Super Star give a call for rajamouli?

Rajinikanth's request to Rebel Star

Whenever superstar Rajnikanth speaks at a public forum, there is always something to learn from him. While he has a message to the listeners he also has some words of wisdom to those on the stage. Something like that happened recently when Rajini went to Bangalore for a special event.

This is the 60th birthday of the Kannada star Ambarish, husband of actress Sumalatha. Ambarish is called the Rebel Star of Kannada cinema. The event also had the likes of megastar Chiranjeevi, collection king Mohan Babu, Nandamuri Balakrishna attending and wishing the senior actor.

Sharing his thoughts, Rajini reportedly mentioned that while Ambarish has played a key role in shaping up the Kannada industry, there is one request he had. Rajini urged Ambi to quit smoking as soon as he can. At one point, even Rajini was a chain smoker but today he is a totally different person.

AR RAHMAN CHEATS RAJINI!

AR Rahman literally cheated Rajinikanth. The Oscar winner called Rajini to attend the song recording session and then insisted that he should render the song himself. Though Rajini was not at all prepared for this, Rahman and lyricist Vairamuthu convinced him to do it.

Once it was confirmed that only the Superstar should render the song, he immediately had Vairamuthu teach him the right pronunciations. Rajini wanted to get the pronunciation right and hence had Vairamuthu by his side throughout, say sources.

Pawan Kalyan and RajiniKanth are exceptions

Publicity is the call for films off late. More the publicity, more the chances of bringing people to theaters.

Even though the Bollywood trend of promoting films is catching up down south too, there are certain exceptions for stars such as Superstar Rajinikanth and Power star Pawan Kalyan. While Rajini caters to both Tamil and Telugu film industry’s respectively, Pawan Kalyan is limited to Telugu Industry though his latest ‘Panjaa’ is set to release in Tamil too.

Both Rajini and Pawan lead a similar life when they are not donning the grease paint. This super reclusives of both the industry’s are hardly seen giving out interviews or promoting their films once they are done with the shoot unlike the aforementioned Bollywood stars.

One can only see Rajini and Pawan when their respective films have audio releases and apart from that the two heavy weights of south are hardly associated with interviews, TV shows,travelling cities to promote their films. Both the stars enjoy a demi-god status among their fans as they flock to theaters once their film releases. It is their names that draw fans to the theatres irrespective of whether they promote the film or not.

In a sense, not promoting a film is also a film promotion for Rajini and Pawan as to an extent it increases the curiosity of fans to wait and watch their heroes on screen rather than them being seen in one promotion activity or the other. Add to it, Rajini and Pawan not being socially such active when compared to other stars adds up to the cause. Considering the importance of film promotions now a days, it is very rare to see these two stars from southsave a lot of money for the producers as films budget for promotions are going up more than the films cost.

Rajinikanth’s big day today!

It was on this day 36 years ago the film ‘Apoorva Raagangal’ was released. And, a new actor was born only to rule the roost as the superstar of Tamil cinema.

Yes, it was 18 August, 1975 that Shivaji Rao Gaikwad officially became Rajinikanth with the release of the film ‘Apoorva Raagangal’. Rajinikanth, a bus conductor-turned- film institute student, was spotted by veteran director K. Balachander for the above film and he was cast as ‘Abaswaram’ Pandian.

The film became a super hit and a star was born. He went on to deliver hits and was rose to the status of superstar! 18 August is another birthday for the superstar!

Rajini and Deepika’s duet song is ready

It was a few days ago we have come across that Rahman has completed scoring three songs and also completed recording one song of Rana.

Everybody who had a chance of listening to this song has come out with praises on ARR and they fell in love with the track. Director KS Ravikumar after hearing to this song is very much eager to start the shoot of this song. Deepika Padukone is known for her dance moves and if it blends with Rajini's screen presence it will make one energetic combination. The song is sure to turn as chartbuster once it is aired.

The team is working on a brisk pace to complete the pending tasks before the film starts its rolling.

This multi-crore and multilingual film project is being produced by Eros International in association with Soundarya Ashwin's Ocher Studios.

Rana shoot is going to start from September and the call sheets of all the stars and supporting casts have taken by K S Ravikumar.

Rajinikanth signs for BUDDHA HOGA TERA BAAP Remake

Even before Rana is back on track it looks like Rajini is all set to sign one more film with popular Telugu director Puri Jagannath.

Telugu director Puri Jagannath is in plans of roping in Rajinikanth for the Tamil and Telugu remake of Bollywood hit film Buddah Hoga Tera Baap. In Hindi the titular role was played by Big B Amitabh Bachan which turned out to be a big hit in Bollywood.

The director has only Rajinikanth in his mind as he thinks that the role of the protagonist played by Bachchan will be carried out by Rajinikanth in a brilliant way.  From the director side it’s confirmed that he is in plans of roping in Rajini but nothing has been finalized from Superstar’s side. Buzz is that the director has already spoken to Rajini and he might give his nod to this project. If the actor gives green signal to this bilingual, the audience might get to enjoy some punch dialogues and the larger-than-life image of the central character.

If Rajini gives his nod to Puri Jagannath the film will surely turn out to be a big success in south too.

No Chiru & No Rajini for Puri Jagannath

Rajinikanth is back in Chennai after the long Singapore trip. He is resting in a newly purchased apartment in Venus Colony, Alwarpet spending time for his grad children Linga and Yatra. On the other side, he is also working on pre-production activities for next project Rana. Meanwhile, rumors had it that Rajini might work with director puri jagannath on the Tamil remake of Hindi Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap, which had Amitabh Bachchan in the lead.
Coming to our Mega Star Chiranjeevi, he too is free from political impositions because Telangana issue is still rocking the state. Never the less his words about 150th project with puri jagannath is not to be forgotten. At this juncture, one of the key persons from directors office informed, Puri is busy till next two years and he has no time for Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi for now.

Puri plans to remake Buddah in tamil with Rajini Kanth

Director Puri Jagannath made a grand entry into Bollywood with the mega flick ‘Bbuddah…. Hoga Tera Baap’. The film starring Big B Amitabh Bachchan emerged as a big hit, and this has brought Puri into limelight. He is now engaged in rigourous works to make more potent films in Hindi. As part of this, he signed Abhishek Bachchan for his next film- ‘The Businessman’. It will be going on to sets soon.

Now, the buzz is that Puri Jagannath is planning to remake ‘Bbuddah…. Hoga Tera Baap’ in Tamil with South Indian Super Star Rajinikanth. Sources say that the director will be soon meeting with Rajinikanth and talk about the project. If things go as planned, Puri-Rajini film may go onto sets along with Rajinikanth’s Rana or the after the completion of the film.

On the other hand, Puri is equally busy in Telugu. He had already announced a couple of projects – one with Prince Mahesh (The Businessman) and the other with Ravi Teja (Idiot 2).
