Jagan gives hand to NTR yet again

Puri Jagannadh made Andhrawala with Jr. NTR which bombed big time and did a great damage to the actor right after Simhadri. Andhrawala's setback has pulled back NTR who was then considered to be the next number one of Telugu cinema. Puri took the responsibility for its failure and promised NTR to make a successful movie with him.

It has been eight years since Andhrawala released and Jagan is yet to keep his promise. There has been news in the past that NTR and Puri are teaming up for the second time, but eventually ended up as a rumor. Puri agreed to do a film under Bandla Ganesh production with NTR, but before that he took up Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu with Pawan Kalyan.

However, Puri Jagannath told that he would definitely work with NTR after he is done with Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu. Latest news confirms that Jagan has once again failed to keep the promise as the hero has been changed in Puri Jagannath - Ganesh film. Allu Arjun will play the lead role in this film and it will start immediately after Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu release. That means Jagan has given hand to NTR yet again. Will he ever make up for the loss of Andhrawala? Only Puri Jagannath knows the answer. 

Pawan-Puri film starts from June 9th

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s movie with Puri Jagan, ‘Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu’, will start rolling from June 9th. Regular shooting will go on at a rapid pace and the film will be released on Oct 18th worldwide. Tamanna will be seen as the heroine in this movie.

D.V.V. Danayya is producing this film and Devi Sri is scoring the music. The film is expected to be an action entertainer with satires on the media industry as a backdrop. Expectations on this project are huge as Pawan and Puri are teaming up after a very long time. Their last film together was the blockbuster movie ‘Badri’.

Directors like Puri Jagannath are above the ranking system and they dont fit into common sayings like, out of form or in the form. Every film Puri works will be very special in its own way. Mahesh Babu's Businessman Final Full Review

Behind The Movie Businessman: Prince Mahesh is fresh from industry hit Dookudu and Puri Jagannath requiring the hit of same scale immediately to bring his career on success track. Thus came the Businessman amidst heavy expectations. Let us see, what is this business all about?

In the Movie Businessman: Surya (Mahesh Babu) lands in Mumbai with only aim of Power to Rule. Around the same time Police Commissioner Ajay Bharadwaj (Naazar) proudly announces that Mumbai is free of Bhai and their Mafia. Along with friend (Brahmaji), here is Suriya begins the journey by recruiting jobless Mafia workers and gives them work to reinvent Underworld Mafia in new style. Not to find any menace from Police, the master Surya traps Chitra (Kajal Agarwal), daughter of Police Commissioner in his love. Finally, what is the motive of Surya to run Mafia like a Business by establishing centers in the name of Surya Exports & Imports in each and every major city? Who is Surya and what is his connection with Prime Minister aspiring politician Ghanapuleti Jayadev (Prakashraj)? These elements form the rest of climax.

Values of the Movie Businessman: The most invaluable asset for entire film is one and only Mahesh Babu. Although director Puri Jagannath could not come out of his vicious Mafia snare, presence of Mahesh makes the film better. Especially dialogues from Puri were filled with Intellectual Punch (something like Trivikram). Taking wise, Puri maintained a standard temp through out. Script wise, loop holes were many as this is purely an Eccentric Hero Centric story. Kajal is an eye delight while her character hasnt got any chance to perform much. Prakashraj is regular with Subbaraju. Comedy by Dharmavarapu has well supported the timing of Mahesh. Naazar, Sayaji Shinde, Brahmaji, Sanjay Swarup, Raza Murad etc were okay.

Technically speaking, for the first time Puri filled too much of bizarreness in designing the characterization of hero. While the dashing narration with sustaining action filled excitement was big plus, its the lack of comedy and a goal less script deterred the final output to an extent. Music by Thaman was rocking in background, canning of Sir Osthaarosthaara and Chao Pilla songs were much below the required excellence. Cinematography by Sam K Naidu and Editing by Sekhar with sharp cuts were traditional Puri styled. Production values of RR Movie makers were high. 

Out of the Movie Businessman: Any movie will have a central theme and plot, characters travel towards that. This is where strength of script lies in. Puri missed the basic logic in this aspect. However Puri has come out of many previous mistakes but treatment of Mafia isnt impressive. Too many cinematic liberties, defying logics and mindless scenes may not be liked intelligent audience. Extreme violence in crisp climax isnt good. Purposeless scenes added as patch ups isnt real or true form of Puri. Although he cooked up a film portraying Mahesh Babu as evolving or an evolved Super Star for his Fans, what about common audience? The sudden change of behavior in Mahesh Babu isnt that easily digestive. In simple, Businessman stands only for heroism of Mahesh and nothing more. Romantic thread weaved between hero and heroine didnt work.

Openings wise, Businessman might create new records due to highest number of theatres booked. Maintaining a positive mouth talk through out first week might be a tough task before Businessman because of Bodyguardreleasing tomorrow. As this Pongal season isnt filled with crowd of releases, one has to wait and see how far Mahesh will stick to BO. 

One strong finding by common audience is, Dookudu was a major hit because of calculated dosages of Comedy, Action, Heroism, Music, Drama and Sentiment while Businessman is lopsided in this ingredient mixture resulting in an average product seen on the screen. This is altogether a big transition for Prince too. 

Verdict of the Movie Businessman:Strictly recommended only for Mahesh Babu Fans.

Puri-Chiru Film Based On A Super Hit Novel

With each passing day, the talk is getting stronger that megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film is very likely to happen. Added to this, the buzz is that it will be Puri Jagannadh who would be handling this prestigious venture. Now, here is one more update which is adding fuel to the fire.

It is heard that the story of Puri-Chiru movie will be adapted from a novel which became famous in 90s. Many are speaking about it but they are not sure which novel that is. It is heard that during that time, many from different languages wanted to make it into a film but that didn’t happen due to certain reasons.

Now Puri wants to do it and he has reportedly consulted with the writer of the novel and is shaping up a script accordingly. Despite several efforts, the name of the writer is not being revealed and it is kept in tight wraps.

Buzz is that after doing this film, Chiru need not do any other film. That’s the impact of this story and even there is a period backdrop mixed with spirituality, politics, practicality, science. This should be interesting.

No Chiru & No Rajini for Puri Jagannath

Puri plans to remake Buddah in tamil with Rajini Kanth

Director Puri Jagannath made a grand entry into Bollywood with the mega flick ‘Bbuddah…. Hoga Tera Baap’. The film starring Big B Amitabh Bachchan emerged as a big hit, and this has brought Puri into limelight. He is now engaged in rigourous works to make more potent films in Hindi. As part of this, he signed Abhishek Bachchan for his next film- ‘The Businessman’. It will be going on to sets soon.

Now, the buzz is that Puri Jagannath is planning to remake ‘Bbuddah…. Hoga Tera Baap’ in Tamil with South Indian Super Star Rajinikanth. Sources say that the director will be soon meeting with Rajinikanth and talk about the project. If things go as planned, Puri-Rajini film may go onto sets along with Rajinikanth’s Rana or the after the completion of the film.

On the other hand, Puri is equally busy in Telugu. He had already announced a couple of projects – one with Prince Mahesh (The Businessman) and the other with Ravi Teja (Idiot 2).
