Kiran Raises Collar, As PM Restores Gas To AP

At a time when union petroleum minister S Jaipal Reddy was receiving brickbats from all sides including from his own Congress party leaders, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy achieved a big success on Tuesday when Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh restored the supply of its due share of natural gas in KG basin to Andhra Pradesh.
According to a communiqué received by the Chief Minister’s Office from the PMO, the Prime Minister has ordered the petroleum and natural gas ministry to stop supply of 2.5 million standard cubic metres per day of natural gas to Dabhol power plant in Ratnagiri in Maharashtra and restore the same to Andhra Pradesh. This would significantly improve the power generation by gas-based power plants in the state and would bring down power crisis in the state. The gas was earlier diverted to Ratnagiri plant at the behest of union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, a few days before he relinquished power ministry.
All said and done, it is a big achievement for Kiran who had a meeting with the Prime Minister on Monday to explain the situation. This would naturally leave Jaipal Reddy red-faced as he miserably failed to protect the interests of the state. He, however, tried to cover up the failure stating that it was he who had advised Kiran to meet the PM to resolve the crisis.

Kiran Stonewalls Jaipal's CM Chances!

By making a hue and cry over the shifting of natural gas allocated to Andhra Pradesh to Maharashtra, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has hit two birds at one shot: blaming it on late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and stonewalling the prospects of union petroleum minister S Jaipal Reddy’s chances to succeed him as the Chief Minister.
In fact, the news about diversion of natural gas from Andhra Pradesh quota to fertilizer plant and power plant at Dabhol in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra at the behest of home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde was said to have been leaked to the media from the CMO sources. Naturally, the opposition parties raised a lot of noise and the ruling Congress leaders, too, started accusing Jaipal Reddy of ignoring the state’s interests. Despite the clarification from Jaipal Reddy that the decision was taken by the empowered committee in 2008 itself and that he had no role in it, there were no takers for his argument. Naturally, he had to take all the blame.
This is a severe setback to Jaipal Reddy at a time when the Congress high command was reportedly trying to convince him to replace Kiran Kumar Reddy as the CM. Now, there would be definitely criticism as to how a person in the union cabinet who could not protect the interests of the state could be made the chief minister.
Secondly, with Jaipal himself claiming that the decision was taken in 2008 and that the state government was aware of the decision, Kiran and PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana got a chance to blame late YSR for keeping silent when the gas being diverted from AP to Maharashtra.

Charan has no time for Daddy!!

Charan has no time for Daddy!!

There is a big hurdle to cross, if Chiranjeevi Fans all over the World are to hear any happy news on the milestone 150th project. Every time when Mega Star appears before public for a Political or Personal meeting, the first question from media and Fans would be about the status of 150th film. Meanwhile, we hear of ramcharan cannot give the prestigious chance of producing this venture to any other makers and he wants to take the credit for his own.
Now days, both father and son have become busy with their own professions. While Chiranjeevi is a Rajya Sabha with a set of prescribed duties for uplifting the position of Congress in State and Centre, ramcharan is also occupied doing three projects at once. This made the story and script discussions of 150th project almost to a halt. So, one can expect good news only when Cherry finds some time for his dad.

Music Director Unhappy With Telugudesam

One popular music director of Telugu industry is quite unhappy with the recent decisions of Telugudesam party. Though many celebrities are unhappy he is the first to come out, at least with an indirect comment.

Once upon a time celebrated and now struggling celebrity, RP Patnaik is questioning the use of political party that is not voting in Presidential election. 'When a responsible political party stays away from voting for the presidential election, does that party has right to ask for votes from public?' asks RP.

Frankly speaking, political parties are representing the public in Presidential election and refraining from voting means, not allowing that public to choose their President. These comments are aimed at none but TDP, as they are the only party in state biting nails and voting to no one.

Political observers say that TDP is losing its sheen day by day by these extreme decisions. But Telugudesam folks are supporting their decision by saying that they are upholding the faith of people as none of the presidential candidates are suitable for welfare of people.

'When I Asked Ministry, None Saw My Face'

'When I Asked Ministry, None Saw My Face'

Our Chief Minister is becoming more and more philosophical these days and is trying to connect luck factor to every happening. Currently touring in East Godavari as part of 'Indiramma Baata', he is giving 'upadesams' to cadres in this way.

'When I asked for a minister post, no one has seen my face. Later they made me a speaker and whip, though I didn't ask them. Now they made me a Chief Minister too', asserted Kiran Kumar Reddy. He feels that when we think about posts, they will move more far from us. 'If you work without any expectations, then high-command will always give you posts', explained Kiran to cadres. 'If there is a bit of luck on our side, everything will fall in place', he added. It is an uneasy moment for cadres listening to this as they cannot give a response to these words of Kiran. However, everyone laughed and clapped as the person talking is Chief Minister of state.

Looks like, Kiran got complete confidence now that he will be the CM of this state till 2014 and started talking sharply about everything, says an observer.

Kodali Nani Is A 'Covert' In YSRCP?

Kodali Nani Is A 'Covert' In YSRCP?

The bonding between Junior NTR and producer/TDP man Kodali Nani has been known to all. But with Nani showing strong signals of joining YSR Congress, many eyebrows are being raised. While speculations are rife about the hand of NTR in it for dubious reasons, here is something from a very reliable source.

It is heard that Junior is following the strategy of his grandfather N T Rama Rao. Those days when NTR formed TDP, he kept Daggubati Venkateswara Rao in congress. Even when Daggubati said he will come into TDP, N T Rama Rao reportedly told him not to and said "We will know the opposition party's movements only when you are in it." That way, Sr NTR carved a political strategy with the motive, 'Alludu' was 'Alludu' and politics is politics.

Cut to the present, in Andhra Pradesh YSR congress is the party which has been emerging strongly in the past one year. So, it is heard that Junior NTR's calculation is congress will be wiped out and the fight will be between YSR Congress and TDP in future. So, he is reportedly planting Kodali Nani as a sting member in the YSR camp. If this news is true then it sure shows that the young tiger is learning the tricks of political play in the right fashion.

Antis feared of Chiru 'No Job' Status

Antis feared of Chiru 'No Job' Status

Ever since Megastar turned politician chiranjeevi merged his political party 'PRP' into the Congress Party, many speculations have been making rounds among political analysts. However, everybody's opinion has finally pinned to one particular point and that is Chiru to become either Central Cabinet Minister or Central Deputy Minister. Surprisingly, Chiru has not got even to that status so far, and he remains to be continued as an 'unemployee' in the Congress Party.
For those who oppose chiranjeevi, should have enjoyed with the present status of chiranjeevi. In contrast, they seem to be worrying with the ongoing status of chiranjeevi. As per the reports, it is understood that if chiranjeevi is made as the Central Minister, his antis might heave a sigh of relief and may not come into his way again. However, it is not happening. Subsequently, they are predicting that chiranjeevi might be offered a key post in the state by the Congress Party and that is the reason for their fear. What happens in reality? Let's wait for the future developments.

TDP to be wiped out after 2014, says RK

Andhra Jyothy managing director Vemuri Radhakrishna has sounded a warning signal for the Telugu Desam Party, stating that the party is going to be wiped out after 2014, if it does not come to power in the next elections or at least stand in the second position.
Known for his pro-TDP stand, Radhakrishna in his weekly column on Saturday blamed it on the intense power struggle going on in the N T Rama Rao family for holding the party reins. He found fault with Naidu for trying to promote his son Lokesh Naidu as his heir apparent and NTR’s sons – Harikrishna and Balakrishna for trying to take control of the party without understanding the ground realities. He was very critical of Balakrishna’s demand for a working president post in the TDP, unmindful of the fact that the people are yet to repose their faith in the party.
The column pointed out how YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has been systematically hitting the TDP below the belt by launching “Operation Kamma,” attracting the Kamma sections towards his party. The TDP has already lost the support of weaker sections and it is hard to woo them back to the party. “Instead of concentrating on who should take over the party – Balakrishna or Junior NTR or Lokesh Naidu, the NTR family should strive to get back their lost credibility. Unless it gets into No. 1 or No. 2 positions in the state, the party will disappear from the state political spectrum,” he warned.

Did Nani Left Or TDP Kicked Him Out?

Did Nani Left Or TDP Kicked Him Out?

Both Telugudesam party and its MLA from Gudivada, Kodali Nani played some tactical game today to confuse the onlookers. While TD sleuths are saying that Nani himself has walked away, the legislator gave a colouring that unknowingly party has suspended him.

Tactically, Nani has irritated the bosses of TDP by meeting YS Vijayamma at her Lotus Pond residence today in the morning. Chandrababu has suspended Nani immediately from the party for his disruptive behaviour. However, Kodali Nani has put up a blank expression after coming out from Chanchalguda and stated that he don't anything about suspension.

'I've come here to meet Jagan on personal reasons. I don't know that party has suspended me. As they have suspended me, it implies that I'm out of party now', said Nani. His words looked like as if Telugdesam has sent him out, which otherwise he would have continued in the party.

Finally, Kodali Nani has declared that he is going to join YSR-Congress and will reveal the date of joining shortly. He is going to conduct a press meet to answer all those critics from TDP who bashed him for his exit.

While Nani's behaviour clearly implies that he want to join hands with Jagan, he is just trying to push the blame on party as they suspended him.

Ready to work under Chiranjeevi

Ready to work under Chiranjeevi

Revenue Minister N raghuveera reddy on Wednesday said that he was ready to work under the leadership of Rajya Sabha member K Chiranjeevi.
Talking to media persons, raghuveera reddy said that he was ready to work under Chiranjeevi's leadership if the high command asks him to do so. However, he said that the high command has to take a final decision on the change of leadership in the State. “Whatever decision the high command takes, we will abide by it," he said.
The minister's statement assumes importance in the wake of a section of leaders in the Congress demanding removal of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana from their posts after the drubbing of party in the recent by-elections. He also said that he would obey the High Command's decision on the Telangana statehood issue.
The Minister said that he was ready to work for party and strengthen it at the ground level.

If Cong loses, YSR-C will be in trouble

If Cong loses, YSR-C will be in trouble
Politics is all about winning, losing and taking revenges. Right now, it is pretty clear as per exit poll survey that YSR Congress is going to top the show in by-polls. But, is this is a good sign for them if the ruling party loses miserably?

Political Analysts say, it is not a good sign for YSRC! If the Congress loses this by-polls, then their leaders will not sit idle and there are chances for the Centre to intensify their investigation on Jagan's disproportionate assets from now. CM Kiran might cancel all the deals that are doled out to help investors of Jagathi with his pen power. If that happens, some investors will turn 'approvers' in the CBI investigation as they have already lost government deals and will lose their money pushed into Jagan's companies. So, before quitting the state, Congress government will try to push YSR-Congress into neck deep troubles. Off late, more than the corruption done by Cong ministers and MLAs, trouble created by Jagan will be considered as a big blow by the high command.

Even though if most number of MLAs migrate to YSR Congress, they may tumble within an year or so as their driving force will be forced to sit in jail for years. Already, Enforcement Directorate is put in place to move Jagan out of Hyderabad. Sources say that Cong will not just focus on Jagan, but will look into the matters of other YSR-C leaders too. Let us see what happens.

Jagan and his gang looted Rs.16,97,335 crores worth

The CBI is likely to take cognisance of a file prepared by the ruling Congress government that reportedly puts assets of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy far in excess of what has been reported.
The file was prepared after six ministers who also served in the YSR Cabinet came under CBI scrutiny for alleged role in alloting land and mining leases and granting favours to companies preferred by Jagan.
The file has found its way into offices of opposition parties, including the TDP, and the latter claims that the case made out by the CBI in its three charge-sheets so far against Jagan and his aides is just the tip of the iceberg.
YSR Congress chief owns 94,038 acres of land, valued at Rs 33,935 crore, and possesses mining leases for over 1,81,079 acres of land with a total turnover of Rs 16,63,400 crore.
Jagan is the actual owner of 822 acres of limestone mines allotted to Penna Cements. The reported turnover: Rs 3,600 crore.
Jagan owns 250 acres worth Rs 500 crore in the name of Tanla Solutions in Ranga Reddy district.
Owns 750 acres in Indu, Stargage, Brahmani SEZ worth Rs 1,500 crore; and 595 acres in Nadargul in Ranga Reddy district worth Rs 1,800 crore.
Owns 800 acres of limestone mines in Kurnool through Penna Cements worth Rs 3,000 crore.
About 329 acres of land allotted to OMC and Anantapur Mining Company owned by Gali Janardhana Reddy are owned by Jagan and the land is valued at Rs 10,000 crore.
Industrialist Indu Syam Prasad Reddy, an associate of Jagan, was allotted 8,844 acres to set up the Lepakshi Knowledge Hub at Anantapur and the land is valued at Rs 1,000 crore

Sister Shobha Cheated Me: Chiru

For megastar-turned-Congress MP Chiranjeevi, winning Allagadda assembly seat is said to be more important than the Tirupati seat.
That is why he is trying to play a sentimental card in attracting voters in Allagadda constituency. Addressing election rallies in the constituency, Chiranjeevi criticised YSR Congress party candidate Shobha Nagi Reddy in strong words. “I treated Shobha like my sister. When she came to my residence along with her husband, I honoured them by presenting clothes as per the Telugu tradition. But the couple had cheated me and jumped into the YSR Congress party,” he said.
He appealed to the people of Allagadda to forgive him for believing Shobha and her husband. “Any vote for Shobha amounts to voting for corruption,” he said, adding that the Congress party was sincerely implementing the schemes introduced during the Y S Rajasekhara Reddy regime.

Jagan Should Follow Jr.NTR's Way

Jagan Should Follow Jr.NTR's Way
With many scenes turning reverse for Courts, CBI is surely getting an upper hand with their arguments. If Jagan's bail too happens that way, then he might use the way Jr.NTR followed to satisfy his followers and admirers.

Responding to Jagan's petition that he should be granted an interim bail for the sake of campaigning, Judge said that he can do it via TV and there is no need to attend the poll region in person. If you could remember, Jr.NTR followed the same route when he is struck with an accident during 2009 election campaign. He has successfully conducted live speeches on TV to enthral TDP cadres. Looks like now Jagan should follow the same route to get close to his voters, if at all court permits him.

Though Jagan plans to do such stunts, he may not go live on Television channels, says a law expert. This is because of the short time that will be provided by Jail authorities to record his message. All this depends on the judgement that will be passed today about his bail.

Judge Row: Chiru's Maturity Shocks All

All of our politicians in the state are busy from today morning in giving various directions and making satires on judicial system in the state. But, one leader has spoken something different and is winning the hearts of people.

Apparently, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Chiranjeevi is choosing different set of words and expressions to knock opponents. But, he is not connecting every happening in the country and state to YS Jagan, like all other politicians. Unlike slamming the judicial system and corrupt law protectors, Chiru appealed to them that people are living with confidence only because of their faith on judicial system before asking the judges to not hit on people's beliefs. 'I personally want to see all those accusations on that Judge are just accusations. Otherwise it is very much insulting for our country', Chiru said.

The Congress party leader never connected this issue to Jagan or turned it in favour of the ruling party. Indeed, he has drawn a thin line between his campaign and this happening. Analysts say that Chiru has developed a bit of sensibility while slamming issues and in fact, this maturity is shocking everyone

Amul's Cartoon on Jagan goes Viral

Amul's Cartoon on Jagan goes Viral
Amul's latest cartoon on YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who is now an under trail prisoner in Chanchalguda central prison, has become a huge hit.

Amul's take on Jagan - Starts with (Reddy! Get Asset! Go!) and ends as (Kitna Khaoge?, which means How much will you eat?). In the Cartoon, a person wearing a jail uniform with prisoner number 6093 was shown making calculations of illegal money amassed by him.

Amul, which is one of the most trusted and largest food brands in India, has been reaching out to the common people with the cartoons on the current issues with a funny edge and adding an uncurrent message to them. Earlier, Amul came up with similar funny cartoons on PM Manmohan, Obama, Lalit Modi, Sachin and Mamta Banerjee etc.

Rajinikanth's request to Rebel Star

Rajinikanth's request to Rebel Star
Whenever superstar Rajnikanth speaks at a public forum, there is always something to learn from him. While he has a message to the listeners he also has some words of wisdom to those on the stage. Something like that happened recently when Rajini went to Bangalore for a special event.

This is the 60th birthday of the Kannada star Ambarish, husband of actress Sumalatha. Ambarish is called the Rebel Star of Kannada cinema. The event also had the likes of megastar Chiranjeevi, collection king Mohan Babu, Nandamuri Balakrishna attending and wishing the senior actor.

Sharing his thoughts, Rajini reportedly mentioned that while Ambarish has played a key role in shaping up the Kannada industry, there is one request he had. Rajini urged Ambi to quit smoking as soon as he can. At one point, even Rajini was a chain smoker but today he is a totally different person.

Jagan Warned Ram Gopal Varma !

Jagan Warned Ram Gopal Varma !
Many gossips are heard in Film Nagar earlier that YS Jagan has warned film maker Ram Gopal Varma to chop his role in the movie that was shot by this maker. Now, these rumours are getting fueled by Vijayawada MP Lagadapati's words

Lagadapati commented today that Jagan has blackmailed Ram Gopal Varma to trim down his and his father's role from the movie. He confirmed that Ramu himself had told this to him. These comments have made YSR Congress leaders furious in turn. 'We'll know that Lagadapti makes assertions to gain publicity. Why is he silent all these days when Jagan is outside?' questioned YSR party Mahila leader Roja.

However, a leader of Lagadapti stature is not expected to make any baseless allegations. Some other Film Industry insiders also confirmed that Ramu has chopped out few scenes he has shot keeping YSR and Jagan in mind. But there is no proof till date that Ramu has done that at the behest of Jagan!
