Is 'Naanna' A South Indian 'Guzaarish'?

The Bollywood film ‘Guzaarish’ unveiled a new side of the hot star Hrithik Roshan and his role as a paraplegic won him many critical acclaims though the film turned out to be a commercial flop. Now, many in the south are wondering if the upcoming Telugu film ‘Naanna’ is a tad inspiration from ‘Guzaarish’.

This is in particular to the role being essayed by Vikram. Apparently, Vikram is donning the character of a mentally challenged person but then many in the cine circles are drawing comparison to his act with that of Hrithik as both roles are more or less unconventional.

However, Vikram has got an edge over Hrithik as he already proved his mettle with a hard hitting role in one of his earlier films ‘Shivaputrudu’. But then, many say ‘Naanna’ is a strong inspiration from the Hollywood flick ‘I Am Sam’ so more than the Vikram- Hrithik comparison, the race will be between Vikram and the Hollywood star Sean Penn who did the lead role. The film is hitting the screens on July 15th so let us see what happens.
