Rajamouli's 'Anti' on Heroes Revealed

Is ace director SS rajamouli against some of the star heroes of tollywood? His statements and tweets have been suspicious for some days. However, it is almost evident that he is against some of the heroes of tollywood and had indirectly showed his hatred on them attempting a different flattery over Prabhas in 'Rebel' audio release function.rajamouli said Prabhas was elected the youth icon in a survey. He did never talk negative on any hero or the director. Many people felt that rajamouli should not have believed those bogus surveys. The survey details are as follows. WHAT ARE THE DETAILS OF THAT SURVEY?: This survey was conducted by a young politician's Telugu newspaper for Hyderabad people only. 1000 people having the age of 13 to 19 were participated in  the survey, as told by the paper. Surprisingly, the newspaper did not reveal the details of the samples and where the survey was conducted. As per this survey, Salman is greater than Amitabh Bachchan. Prabhas and Mahesh are greater than Pawan Kalyan. Modi is greater than Manmohan( Politics). WHY rajamouli MENTIONED THAT SURVEY?: rajamouli's next project hero is Prabhas. Moreover, it was gossiped that Jr.NTR and heroes of mega family are not in good terms with rajamouli and so rajamouli gave the above speech to give a shock to his 'anti' heroes. BOTTOM-LINE: Frankly speaking, Prabhas definitely deserves the status of one of the youth icons of tollywood but not the only number one.

Benchmark for a Tollywood Super Hit

In Bollywood collecting a gross collection of 100 crore in India has turned out to be the benchmark for a successful film. All the stars are aiming to reach that hundred crore mark with every film and we are witnessing more and more in the club in recent times. Likewise our Tollywood too has a benchmark for a super hit film.

Gone are the days where number of centers that the movie runs for fifty or hundred days used to be the true scale to measure a movie's success. Only number that matters now is how much share a movie collects. Tollywood has witnessed a string of super hits in less than a year's time and as per the statistics any movie that collects a share over forty crore can be termed as a super hit.

Businessman, Racha and Eega collected over forty crores share this year and Gabbar Singh went on to cross 60 crore rupees share. Gabbar Singh and Dookudu (55 crores share) were blockbusters as they went an extra mile and made it to 60 and 50 crores clubs respectively. 30 crores share used to be the benchmark for a Telugu film in the past. Now our super hits are crossing that mark in our state alone. Tollywood is shining and how? 

A-B-C-D is Powerful than any Superstar

Bollywood is surely going Hollywood way these days especially in making adult rated movies. Even though it is miles behind Hollywood in terms of movie making, Bollywood is certainly on par with it in dealing with adult stuff. A B C D has turned out to be the safe bet for Bollywood filmmakers nowadays.

If anyone banks on the A B C D's, they are sure to make good profits. Not even a superstar could guarantee such sure shot success. Okay, what is this A B C D? A - Adult content, B - Bikini and Bedroom scenes, C - Cleavage show, D - Dirty stuff. This is proving to be the new success formula in B town. Any movie that is made with all these ingredients in right proportions, it will mint crores of money at the box office.

The range of such movies multiplies if you have a top rated actress as the main lead. Hence, Bollywood is shamelessly churning out many more cliched adult flicks as the audiences are craving for sleaze and sex. Tollywood makers who are following Bollywood keenly are already preparing ground to create space for such movies. Nothing attracts better than money and who would want to miss out on the opportunity of hitting a jackpot? 

Self-Criticism Missing In Tollywood!

Without criticising oneself for their poor show, no director or hero or any other celebrity could do wonders in the tinsel town. But analysts say that the percentages of people who are ready to criticize themselves are very low in this sparkling industry.

It is not just making movies and releasing them, the whole process involves a lot of other activities and businesses. But the persons involving in these trades are slowly turning towards illicit means to make quick money. In film industry, it has become a notion for everyone to attach the tags like 'hard work' and 'honesty' to their words, even though they lack it. The other day, producers, both C.Kalyan and Natti Kumar are busy imparting these adjectives to their names with their baseless and illiterate talks. One can easily understand from their allegations that both have taken fraudulent path to add 'power' to their identity. If both of them can criticize themselves about the works they have done, it takes no time to realize what they have done for this industry.

With these kinds of allegations and illegal-activities, Tollywood is no doubt losing faith among the common people, as there is a belief already that film-industry is a 'fort of dacoits' in disguise. These dacoits rob not just money, but power, flesh and pride too!

2012: The Exciting Releases

As we look forward for the year 2012, here is a glance on exciting releases to follow. The list of star entertainers start with Mahesh Babus Businessman followed by Venkateshs Bodyguard, Ravitejas Nippu, Sunils Poolarangadu, BalakrishnasAdhinayakudu, Ramcharans Racha, Sekhar Kammulas Life Is Beautiful, Junior NTRs Dammu. Rajamoulis Eega, Nagarjunas Damarukam, Venkatesh & MaheshsSeethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Pawan Kalyans Gabbar Singh,Ramcharan's 'Yevadu,' Prabhas's 'Rebel,' Ram's 'Endukante Premanta,' Naga Chaitanya's 'Autonagar Surya' and others. For the moment, these are few flicks announced for a definite hitting of screens with in first half of 2012 while the big bunch of anticipated new star hero- top director combinations will see an announcement as time proceeds on. Wish that we will have maximum hits out of these.

Producer refuses Samantha's tempting offer




We are aware that producer Bellamkonda Suresh has filed a complaint against Samantha in Producers Council and Movie Artists Association (MAA) for violating the agreement she has signed with him in February this year. After considering the complaint, the Committee has directed the actress to allot fresh dates to the film which is being directed by Nandini Reddy.

However, Samantha is right now unable to allot dates to Bellamkonda's film. Currently, she has five big budget films in her kitty. Her films 'Eega' with Nani and Rajamouli, 'Autonagar Surya' with Naga Chaitanya and Deva Katta, Tri-lingual film with Nani and Gautham Menon were on the sets. And Mahesh's 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' and RamCharan's 'Evadu' are in the pipeline.

"Samantha signed Bellamkonda's film in February 2011. The makers have assured to her that the shooting will be wrapped up by August. But the film didn't go to the floors till now, as the lead actor wasn't confirmed. In the meantime, Samantha became the most sought after actress in Tollywood. She even signed some exciting projects with top filmmakers. Now, Siddharth was roped into Bellamkonda's film and the makers were pressurizing Samantha to allot fresh dates," said a source close to the actress.

Samantha conveyed her inability to Bellamkonda Suresh and she even promised to sign a two film deal with him next year, for relieving her from Siddharth-Nandini Reddy's film. But, the Producer was adamant and clarified that he will lose a lot of money if Samantha (Lucky Mascot - All her films in Telugu were superhits) walks out of the film

The most boring movies of Tollywood!




It is a very common thing to talk about movies which are successful, entertaining and scoring good marks with the audience. But what about those movies which tend to bore the audience to the core or drive them crazy? Well, maybe it is time to have a look at some of them and that too in Tollywood.

A notable amount of cine buffs say 'Okka Magadu' was unforgettable. There are those who add that 'Varudu' was literally 'mind blowing'. Even Mahesh Babu was not spared when some of them mentioned that his 'Sainikudu' was annoying.

Another film added to this list is 'Komaram Puli' followed by 'Shakti'. Going a few years back, some said 'Mrugaraju' was another gem of a boring flick. Among the second league, the list is a bit longer with the likes of 'Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu' 'Mogudu' 'Money Money More Money' 'Mugguru' 'Dhada' 'Nenu Naa Rakshasi' 'Wanted' 'Dongala Mutha' etc.
