Today Balakrishna, Tomorrow...?

What could be the situation, if the treatment given to ‘Srimannarayana’ is repeated for any other star heroes films coming in near future. One should obviously agree that, there will always be shortage of theatres during the festive or holiday seasons with a bunch of big films booking their own required number of screens. When a big hero like balakrishna finds no value in the market with theatres in Andhra Pradesh under the hold of very few men, what is the guarantee that same will not be repeated for any other big hero? A solution for this kind of severe issues will be found only when these leased theatres in the hands of few distributors will go back to Exhibitors. While big heads like Dasari, Tammareddy and others are working towards such permanent solution, Fans of Big Heroes should maintain cool headedness.

Balayya Not a Small Hero

Natasimham Nandamuri balakrishna's 'Srimannarayana' movie ran for just one week in Arjun theater of Kukatpalli and was replaced by King Nagarjuna's devotional flick 'Shirdi Sai'. Leaving a big shock to everyone, the producer and the director of the movie staged a dharna in front of the theater protesting not to lift their movie from the theater. Balayya's fans also joined this agitation. The producer of this movie stated that their is a small budget movie and it has to get justice. Later, the producer also met the supporter of small budget films, Tammareddy Bharadwaj.  Having heard of this news on SMN, some of the senior fans of Balayya are criticizing the makers of the movie. As per them, the makers have rights to go for  any kind of agitation for the screening of their movie, but they shouldn't have mentioned theirs is a small budget film, as it senses that Balayya is a small hero but not a star hero. Hope, the makers understand their feelings.

Pawan to Surprise His Fans as Radio Jockey

All arrangements are being made across the state to celebrate Power Star pawan kalyan's birthday as a great event. To add more josh among his fans, pawan kalyan is going to appear in Radio Mirchi studiom as a Radio Jockey.  His fans can call and talk with him during a special talk show in 98.3 FM, on 2nd September, between 2 and 5 pm. Pawan Kalayan will also cut a birthday cake in the studio.  pawan kalyan's highly anticipated movie 'Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu' is in its completion stages now. Tamannah adds the glamour and spice of this mass and message oriented entertainer. Manisharma is scoring the music of this film. Puri Jagannadh is directing this movie. Universal Media is the production house of the movie. The audio of the movie will be released on 15th September while the movie is slated for 11th October release.

Charan Effect: Nandi Committee Changed

Not many days back, Ramcharan is denied a best actor Nandi Award irrespective of his hair rising performance in 'Magadheera'. The criticism faced by Nandi Awards Committee that time has finally opened the eyes of government. His issue has now changed the way members are taken and this is irking few people in Tollywood.
 
All the time, we have seen lot of followers of some coteries being the major chunk of this Awards Committee. However, AP State Film, TV and Theatre Development Corporation (APSFTVTDC) has now reduced the size of committee from 18 to 13 and made sure that there are no people on board who are served for 3 times already. It comprises of writers, lyricists, producers, journalists, lecturers, directors and social workers. Reports have that many producers and directors are lobbying high to get a chance in the committee, as their representation is very low this time.
 
Surprisingly the awards committee is headed this time by a cinematographer, S Gopal Reddy, unlike a producer or director all these years. "We have introduced new criteria from this year in appointing members to the committee," managing director of the corporation R V Chandravadan said.
 
Big wigs who are trying to manage the awards all the time are dumbstruck with the decision of government. So let us expect some transparent awards at least this time and wish there will be no unlucky persons like Ramcharan who missed an appreciation for a genuine performance.

Mallu Arjun's 'Gaja Pokiri' Super Hit

Stylish Star Allu Arjun's 'Gaja Pokkiri', the Malayalam version of 'Julayi', hit the screens of Kerala state on 18th August in good number of prints. The movie has received good openings in the entire state with a positive talk. The buyers of 'Gaja Pokkiri' are fortunate enough as the highly anticipated movie of Lalettan's 'Run Baby Run' has been postponed to keep a safe distance from 'Gaja Pokkiri'. Mallu Arjun's fans are cheering up for the graceful dances, elegant dresses and spectacular fights of their favourite hero.  Sexy and sizzling hottie Ileana has paired up with Allu Arjun in this movie. Dr.Rajendra Prasad played a hilarious role in the film. Sonu Sood did the main villain. Devi Sri Prasad composed rocking tunes for the movie. The movie was directed by ace director Trivikram while it was produced by Radhakrishna on Harika and Hassine Creations.

Now, Pawan started directing Puri

Director Puri Jagannath could have definitely expected his ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ to score a minimum average at BO. But, the result has been completely dismal with critics shunting the film for poor screenplay and lack of Puri’s trademark treatment. For what ever the reasons, Puri Jagan is most popularized for punch dialogues and powerful narration of scenes which Fans of top heroes like the most. The shocking result of ‘DCM’ is known to have finally forced pawan kalyan to finger in the making of ‘Camerman Ganga Tho Ram Babu.’ Insiders are murmuring that, Pawan asked Puri to re-check the entire footage shot till now before taking the film on to final editing table. Even, a disturbed Puri did not want to take any chances of losing his complete reputation has accepted to work with Pawan’s directions from now on. In a pressure cooker situation, Puri and Pawan are jointly monitoring the quality of shots. Wish that ‘CMGR’ will come out as best product ever seen in Tollywood from this rare combination who earlier gave a super hit 'Badri.'

Bunny Surpasses Jr.NTR

stylish star allu arjun's 'Julayi' movie is getting very good collections at the box office. The movie has collected a share of Rs. 28.09 crores at the end of its first week run. As per the current trends, the trade sources are expecting that the movie will cross the mark of Rs.40 crores share quite easily at the box office in its full run. Interesting thing is that earlier, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan and Mahesh Babu crossed Rs.40 crores share through their movies such as 'Gabbar Singh', 'Magadheera', 'Rachcha' and 'Dookudu'. Rajamouli's  'Eega' has also crossed this share without having a hero in it, including all the versions of the movie. However, Jr. NTR's highest grosser 'Dammu' has collected a share of Rs.34 crores at the end of its full run. So, it is said that Allu Arjun surpassed Jr.NTR through his 'Julayi' at least for some time until Jr. NTR gives a blockbuster hit through his forthcoming 'Baadshah' movie.  Sexy actress Ileana has paired up with Bunny in this movie. Rajendra Prasad played a hilarious role in the movie while Sonu Sood did the antagonist. The music has been rendered by Devi Sri Prasad. Ace director Trivikram directed this movie. Radhakrishna produced this movie under Haarika and Hassine Creations.

Cherry throws challenge to NTR!

With in few days after Junior NTR’s producer Bandla Ganesh Babu announcing the release date of his ‘Baadshah’ as January 11 that is for Sankranti, now we have Mega Power Star too getting himself ready to enter into battle field with ‘Nayak.’ Although unofficial, we are reported that ‘Nayak’ directed by VV Vinayak will also be one of the tough contenders in Pongal race.  Of course, it is too early to estimate the strengths of ‘Baadshah’ and ‘Nayak’ which are purely based on machismo of these two young heroes. However, when seen from director’s point of view, Vinayak is surely on back foot compared to Srinu Vytla’s winning spirits of ‘Dookudu.’ So, the first two positions for Sankranti are full. Now, it is time for other heroes to announce their release dates. This is the most favorable period for which producers wait throughout the year.

Chiru's 'Indra' Still Unbeaten There

Can you believe that megastar chiranjeevi's 'Indra' is still holding the record of town highest share record in one of the towns of the state? Since the movie released ten years ago, it is hard to imagine that its collections could not be broken by any other movie. However, the unbelievable took place and the town where 'Indra's record safe was 'Tuni', which belongs to East Godavari area. Going by the details, the movie was released on 24th July, 2002 and ran 175 days in Tuni and collected a share of Rs.18 lakhs. No movie of  tollywood has crossed this share mark including 'Magadheera' in this town.  Interestingly, there is one more town in the state where 'Indra' occupied number two position even today and the town is 'Mandapeta'. In  'Mandapeta', 'Magadheera' collected a share of Rs.21 lakhs whereas, 'Indra' collected a share of Rs.19 lakhs. No movie has touched the shares of these two movies till now. Hope, forthcoming big projects will break these records.

Entire Telugu Cinema Industry and general cinema lovers too are in praise of Mega family for offering superb hits at a crucial time when Tollywood was going through a slump. 2012, a year known for End of the World has in fact ended our Tollywood’s declining phase with three big hits coming from one Mega family. Well, ‘Rachcha’ of ramcharan followed by Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Gabbar Singh’ and Allu Arjun’s ‘Julaayi’ are the three which everyone has unanimously agreed to be big hits. Not to stop here, the coming year ahead also looks promising because ramcharan, VV Vinayak’s combination ‘Nayak’ and Pawan Kalyan, Puri Jagannath’s ‘Cameraman Ganag Tho Ram Babu’ are gathering positive talk. So, there are two more Mega Celebrations to join the list and moods of Mega Fans can go still high cheering their heroes.

'Pawan Hates All These Collection Dramas'

Finally, producer Ganesh has cleared the air regarding the real reasons behind the secrecy of 'Gabbar Singh' collections. With GS finishing 100 days yesterday, here comes a word from the producer's mouth about collections and so. 

'Many people feel that this film hasn't collected much, but I don't care. Pawan Kalyan hates all these collection dramas and he asked to me not to reveal any numbers', says Bandla Ganesh, producer of blockbuster 'Gabbar Singh'. He added that making movie with Pawan itself is a big achievement and there is no need to depend on collections and fake-records. 

Coming to 100 days function, Ganesh says that if Pawan is busy and okay with it, he is ready for that. Mega fans are waiting for the big-events of both 'Racha' and 'Gabbar Singh' 100 days functions from a time and just one 'rain' could fulfil their drought.

Julayi enters All Time Top 5

The first week collections of 'Julayi' are phenomenal making it the highest in Allu Arjun's career. In India alone, the film has collected a gross of Rs 38 crores and share of Rs 24 crores. Taking $1 million at Overseas into account, the worldwide gross of the film is around Rs 44 crore.

With these earth shattering figures, Julayi entered into the All Time Top 5 openings in Tollywood. The Malayalam version of the film (Gaja Pokkiri) is releasing a week later (on August 17), else the figures would have been much higher. 

The collections were very impressive in the second week as well. With Ramzan season coming to an end on 20th of this month, the strong run of Julayi is expected at least for the next few weeks. Let's see if this films enters into the All Time Top 5 grossers list or not!

Ram Charan gets into Pawan's shoes

Ram Charan has successfully imitated Chiranjeevi in Racha and that has worked wonders for him. Even though others commented that he doesn't have any original flavor, fans are happy that he could pull off a mass film in Chiru style. Charan is going to throw them another surprise in Nayak.

If the buzz is to be believed, Ram Charan will be imitating Pawan Kalyan in few scenes. Vinayak, who likes Pawan's style, asked Charan to do them in that style as fans would love it. Pawan has a typical style of dialog delivery and Charan too loves to act in his Babai's style which is one of the main reasons that made him the darling of youth.

Nayak is an out and out commercial entertainer with high tones of action and comedy. Vinayak's previous film Badrinath didn't do well and he is looking forward to strike back with a bang. Vinayak's movies are always lapped up by masses and Nayak too is targeted at them. As per the sources this is going to be another commercial mass masala fare for fans.

Ramcharan competing with Pawan

When Mahesh Babu delivered a hit like ‘Dookudu,’ there were speculations on how the handsome hero raised his remuneration to all time high for ‘Businessman’ and following projects. In the same way, Pawan Kalyan who is always believed by makers for safe BO adventures irrespective of movie result is also known to have hiked his pay cheque post the success of ‘Gabbar Singh.’ Of course, the final figures aren’t clearly known, it is still heard that Abbai ramcharan is also competing with Babai Pawan in this aspect. Perhaps, Cherry neither had a solid hit prior to ‘Rachcha’ (after ‘Magadheera’) and even his following is mostly inherited from dad unlike Pawan Kalyan developed his own stature. As per the information from confidential film circles, Cherry’s fee for each film is almost with in the equal range of Pawan Kalyan. Yet producers like Aswini Dutt and others are still in the queue.

Mega, Power Cutouts in 'Yevadu' Fight

Currently, a fight sequence is being shot on Ram Charan and the fighters at the aluminium factory of Gachchibowli area. Interestingly, Megastar Chiranjeevi and Power Star Pawan Kalyan's cutouts were arranged in the location for the shoot of the fight sequence. So, it is going to be an interesting fight in the movie.  Samantha and Amy Jackson are doing opposite in 'Evadu'. Stylish Star Allu Arjun and cute actress Kajal Aggarwal are giving cameo appearances in the movie. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music of this action thriller. The movie is being directed by Vamsi Pydipalli. Dil Raju is producing the movie under Sri Venkateswara Creations. The movie is planned to be released on 5th April, 2013

Re-establishing the lost craze in Tollywood with ‘Julaayi,’ now allu arjun is to travel Kerala as ‘Ghaza Pokiri’ set for a grand release on August 18. Although the Malayalam dubbed version is ready for release, makers have deliberately pushed forward the date to August 18 to cash the Eid and Onam festive seasons in Kerala which happens to be the most fruitful period in Mollywood. This is the season where in Super Stars Mammootty, Mohan Lal, Dilip and Prithviraj are also getting in with their new flicks. Mammootty’s ‘Thappana’ will be releasing on August 20, Mohanlal’s ‘Run Baby Run’ on August 28. There are Dilip and Prithviraj too in race.   Going by the market of Bunny, he is on hat trick as ‘Arya 2’ and ‘Badrinath’ collected above Rs.1 Crores. The fresh release of ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ is sending shivers down the spine for Power Fans because Puri never seemed to be in his original touch missing everything in the movie. If such is the mental condition of once a most successful Puri Jagannath, one can definitely doubt on the way ‘Cameraman Ganga Tho Ram Babu’ would have been shaping up.
